The funniest punishment would be to name them Lion71 and do the gag treatment that we've used on a few members...3 points

Oddly enough, the Title IX lawsuit vs Baylor that named Art Briles was dismissed today. That means there are exactly zero pending criminal or civil suits vs Baylor/Briles. There were never any arrests. I'm not at all a Briles apologist, but at the end of the day if the man's name has been cleared, then we can't keep treating like he's guilty. That's the system we chose.2 points

At the end of the day, one person is in jail and was found guilty in the court of law. In that instance, Briles acted swiftly and correctly. He was also innocent enough for Baylor to pay him $20 million to leave. There should be more outrage over the former AD or president getting a job than Art Briles.2 points

Paterno and Jerry were best friends...that's what made it so danging on JoPa and then JoPa had made weird rules for old Jerry to do little kid clinics for years and to have kids around the place. That should have been a clanging bell for tons of people besides just him! Now, Baylor didn't have to "clear" Briles of things...except for the fact that after all their many investigations...he wasn't actually personally responsible. Now, you can try to hold him to the fire (as everyone in the US is) for what 200 athletes a year do and 75 coaches and auxiliary staff are responsible (and getting paid well) to look over...but it's STUPID. Those athletes are with their coaches 4 to 8 hours a day. They are being wild kids (athletes) the rest of the time. Like many of us were when we were in college...some worse, some better. The school writes him a letter clearing him after they have totally damaged him early on and yes, he went on TV and accepted responsibility because he wants to be the great coach and he does feel bad...even though as all that came out...how can you show enough remorse on TV when it didn't hit your family aside from in the pocketbook and reputation (which is big). People get mad, but I hope he gets another shot. I've been in charge at that level and I know how college kids are. They are crazy! It's hard to babysit them 24-hours-a-day when they are away from their parents...able to get booze, drugs, sex, anytime they want it...even at a Christian school. Stuff happens...hormones happen!!! These are kids...they're immature and they make stupid decisions and yet the adults pay for those decisions, which isn't always right.2 points

There's no way I could eat 72 waffles in an hour. I don't even think I could eat 6 an hour. I simply say we don't let Lion join any fantasy football leagues in the future.1 point

Really? Has nothing to do with bumping this thread up to show Center is still number 1. It 's Monday, and I'm just simply keeping this thread updated. Don't be a pessimist.1 point

I'm referring to Tevin Elliott, who was actually the first one. He's serving 20 years for rape. Sam Ukwuachu had his conviction overturned in court.1 point

That's called taken responsibility for stuff that happens in his program. That doesn't mean he did anything wrong. I know let's ruin the guy for "mistakes". Great idea from the mob mentality we have today.1 point

2017 was a special year for Lobo Nation, even if we didn't finish it off. First 7 on 7 state tournament since 2013, first ever 3-0 pool run during the tournament, 9-1 record, getting over the 3rd round hump in 6A for first time since 2010, beating Lufkin the Quarters, returning to the Semis for first time since 2010. Just an all around special year that I and many Lobo fans will never forget. Here's to an amazing 2018! Have a fantastic (and safe) New Years Eve everyone!1 point

I'm callin my shot right here....Gibson long gone.....won't be a PG Hawk next year. I'd go too....school that's not predominantly a powerhouse....to have a year like this.....the offers will come and he'd be smart to jump on one.1 point

As I said, the Chain Gang (defensive line) did their job. This game was won by the passing game.-1 points
