I can remember the pre-game like it was yesterday. All we were told was how good USC was, and how that particular USC team was, as ESPN put it, the GREATEST TEAM OF ALL TIME. Heisman trophy winner Reggie Bush was the most explosive player on the field. USC was going for their repeat National Championship. 2 Heisman winners on the same team was just an unstoppable combination. Pete Carroll was one of the greatest coaches of all time. 1. Reggie Bush was not impressive when matched up with a team that actually had a defense. Lindale White outplayed Reggie Bush 10 fold that game. 2. Pete Carroll made some gutsy mistakes that game, and Texas (especially the defense) made them pay tremendously. 3. Vince Young was by far the best athlete on the field. The fact that Reggie Bush was later stripped of the Heisman, just further amplifies the fact that Vince Young was robbed to begin with. I tell people this all the time. All the preaching that ESPN did pre-game, stating that USC had the greatest team ever fielded, and the greatest system. What does that make the team that beat them?

The thing is they've caused a lot of concerns with their breaches of privacy, and the fears that many have with their personal data. Why put it out there if you don't want the world to see it anyway. I almost posted something the other day on it that was personal, but I knew to bite my tongue, because there are many things in a persons life that even your friends shouldn't know. Even if it's innocent in nature. I agree with CarthDawg77 that I rarely see many of my friends posts on the news feed. I don't have time to go to every single one of my friends walls to see what they post. If I don't see it, how am I supposed to determine if I like what they post or add to their discussion ? I will also say their advertising part on facebook is lame. 90% of the advertising that I see has nothing to do with what my interests are or my purchasing habits. Yet, they are supposed to be masters at finding out what our proclivities are to certain products and entertainment. I think it's a fear factor with facebook with the recent interviews that Zuckerberg has conducted with the U.S. Congress and with the E.U.. Those interviews have left many investors and advertisers skittish, and why many have sold their stocks or stopped advertising with facebook.

That Texas team had 25 NFL players on the 2-deep. VY was the best player for sure but the team was great.

That whole program is so unorganized and complete chaos. That's the only thing I agreed with Henry on in episode 4 when he called out coach Brown. I don't agree how he did it obviously, but he wasn't wrong. Brown doesn't know his players. He assumes cussing them out encourages them to prove him wrong, but not every player responds to that. As a coach, you have to know how to lead and that starts with knowing your players.

I remember the hell storm that followed after Buddy when on his thug rant season one. Doesn't hold a candle to a Wednesday practice with Brown.

When I worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of TX, a few people were displaying GWB posters in their cubicles and a some people wore GWB buttons and shirts ... then came the complaints from "minority" employees and the "higher ups" issued a policy that prohibited display or wearing political clothing or items. Then along came Obama and minority employees brought in all kinds of Obama posters, buttons and wore Obama shirt, etc. There were complaints from a few people but a new policy statement came from personnel that said the Obama stuff didn't have to be taken down in the name of "diversity" ... talk about a double standard ....

Over playing any sport isn't gonna get you in a college any quicker than not....Playing regular req sports is a good thing and builds school/town pride.....If you have a child that is starting to show above avg talent or interest in playing at the next level, then have them see a 1 on 1 trainer to teach them what they need to know to advance in their position. Utilize camps. Bottom line Let the kids have fun and you'll be surprised how they will eventually on their own step up and go be that kid you hope for....One thing I'm glad I did with my boys is we stayed away from the tournament chasing teams.....Did we play a few here and there through the years....yup....was some of the local kids better at Baseball than my kiddos while younger for a while....yup.....Are they now.....Nope.....As HS years have started to hit about 50% of those who where tournament and select ball guys don't even play baseball anymore. If a kid is forced soon enough they will rebel.....If they want it on their own.....Look the hell out!!!! Then do all you can to help them go in the right direction...Bottom line no matter what those BS sayings are about work over talent BS.....you still gonna have 95% of those kids who have natural abilities raw out perform well trained less abilities kids all day....Just a fact of life.
