Classy quote from Coach Gibson... Gibson says, "Carthage has THE best football program in the state of Texas at any level. What we accomplished here at PG last year was special, but Carthage has done it six times in the last ten years. They play the game almost flawlessly with great belief, discipline and intensity. That's what makes them so special."3 points

And i expect carthage defense to be alot stronger than either one of those teams so i expect carthage to win by atleast 21 but it wouldnt surprise me for it to be a blowout2 points

WR set themselves up in a pretty good position. Win and get the praise or lose and just blame it on injuries2 points

While I certainly respect your thoughts I must disagree with your assessment of the Hawks D. The Hawks D is what has to keep PG in this game. While they might not be able to stop the Carthage offense they are IMO the best Defense Carthage has faced this year so far. Maybe your right and the Hawks Defense can’t stop the Dogs but I am still excited to see how the stack up against an elite offense.1 point

I'm going have to wait and see if Le'Veon reports tomorrow as reported. If not I'll commit to that trade.1 point

So that makes them 6-8, La Vega Opposition is a combined 15-3 with the LV games taken out of the mix and 17-6 overall. La Vega destroyed Midlothian Heritage #3 team in the state at the time. Say what you will Carthage schedule hasn't really been all that tough, not saying Carthage isn't good just the schedule isn't what it used to be. PG will be the first real test for Carthage.1 point

You maybe right. But explain the second half in the Whitehouse and Bullard games. They opened up the playbook and we looked good. Why can’t we continue that instead of reverting back to the same ole same ole. I know this staff can do it. They proved that. But why isn’t the consistency there every week. I’m simply talking about play calling. The biggest diff is they can open the play book up with QB#8. But we revert back to the basic. It just doesn’t make sense and to be honest nobody in the community gets it. From the head honcho down to us fans and the players.1 point

Yeah it's definitely a strength (Texas' D) vs strength (OU's O) and weakness (Texas' O) vs weakness (OU's D). I think that's what's going to make it a good game. Now, if Texas keeps their defense on the field too long it could get out of hand. That's what I'm worried about.1 point

If Texas can run the ball like Army did, they'll have success. OU's offense was decent in that game, considering how little they possessed the ball. But their defense is just not good. They even gave up a lot to Baylor in their win. Texas has looked much better on defense, but they haven't played an offense like OU. I'm excited to see which unit comes out ahead (Texas defense vs Oklahoma offense).1 point

Guys, ignore Lion. He's all over the place in this thread lmao Previous games matter not in this game.1 point

If there’s no more parking available at the school. People can park at city hall and citizens bank off hiway 80. The school will operate a bus to shuttle people to the middle school from those locations. They’ll have another smaller bus to shuttle people down to the game if needed as well.1 point

I never clarified when I posted this, but the point of this was how easily it is to make stuff up to change the narrative.1 point

Man, I sure wish this young man was playing at a major FBS university to get more exposure plus, I could watch him on Saturdays. He got to Oklahoma, he just didn't make it to, Norman like I selfishly wanted him to.1 point

Discipline, attitude, effort. Those are the areas I question the most with the current program. I see things Castles and Sitton would have never allowed.1 point

That's a big deal. I mean why even waste diesel to take them if you're not going to let them be obnoxious to the other team lol1 point

One of the funniest things...American football fans like to call Soccer a soft sport a bunch of divers and cry babies...yet in soccer you see some of the most extravagant, orchestrated and funny celebrations in the sports world. No one on the other team complains or get into fights. No fanbases go whine on the internet about how they were mean and danced after they scored.1 point
