  1. Temple more then capable of beating Longview. Don't think they will but they have the kids to make it interesting. Senior heavy team. Big stud at QB committed to Texas. Longview still my favorite to win state. I'm just saying the players can't show up thinking Temple will be a push over.

  3. Interesting note. This game will have 2 future Texas High School Hall of fame coaches going head to head for the District Championship. Coach Mike Hedrick in his 43rd season 297 career wins..... Coach Jimmy Thompson in his 30th season 232 career wins.... WoW. I wonder if any other game will have two great coaches going head to head this week with a combined 529 career wins..... That's a testament to both coache's longevity and success Congrats to Coach Hedrick and Coach Thompson for being so successful over many years....

  4. There is no way that I would want to replace Ted Cruz. Have you checked his voting record ??? He's a true conservative. That's the only way that he is toxic. I don't want some RINO replacing him. He's good for the State, and good for our country.

Because Ask Fidel Castro for directions to the nearest McDonald’s; Or better yet, the closest General Motors New Car Dealership to supply parts for all of the ‘57 Chevy’s in Cuba!

  12. It’s not just the defense giving Carlisle a short field, but the opponents refusal to kick or punt to Gerald. Last week against Big Sandy, their punter literally lined up facing the sidelines. Now, their punter was so bad they didn’t need to do that, but they did. Punters have ‘kicked’ three grounders this year. Having said that, It’s a ‘pick your poison’ situation, watch Gerald run it back down your throat or kick it short.

  13. Despite what all the dim whores in the media will be saying...here's what REALLY happened..... Most of the RINOs and never-trumper "republicans" are gone from the house......replaced by dims, but there won't be much of a difference...... Nothing the communist scumbags in the house try to pass will see the light of day in the Senate...... The Senate, meanwhile, will be stronger and MORE of President Trump's judicial appointments will be confirmed, sealing a conservative future for a generation....... The people will grow tired of the dims doing nothing in the house, and 2020 will be a cakewalk, as President Trump wins a second term in a landslide, and all those dims are swept out, replaced by REAL CONSERVATIVES.....the house, literally, got cleaned last night......this couldn't have worked out any better if President Trump had orchestrated it himself.......

  18. I am not saying, and would never say with a straight face that this LSU team is going to dominate anyone on the scoreboard. But you brought up Alabama... sure, LSU scored 0 on Bama and A&M scored 20+, but you also gave up 45 and the starting QB was sitting on his butt in the 4th quarter. A&M also gave up close to 600 yards in the game. LSU managed to give up 500 yards, but still made Tua look human at times during this game, also causing him to throw his first INT this season. Now other common opponents... Auburn... LSU won that game, and A&M lost to them. Auburn literally had 250 yards total on you guys and won. A&M made mistakes. LSU vs Auburn had 0 INTs on offense, but forced 2-3 turnovers and managed over 350 yards of offense. And you want to talk about Special teams? LSU may have the best in the country this year. Example 3: LSU allowed 250 yards and forced 4 INTs vs Miss St. while netting only 230 yards on offense. So A&M has the blue print on how to beat a QB that can't throw the ball into the ocean right? NOPE. 240 yards and 2 TDs allowed to Nicky Fitz, 88 more rushing and 2 more TDs. And another trend in all 3 of these games. at least 1 INT by the QB.... Burrow, while he is the NCAA version of Trent Dilfer (doesn't do anything special, but not many mistakes), manages this offense like he is a poor man's Tom Brady. So I am very confident that LSU should win this game. I don't know how anyone can expect A&M to win this game with as much confidence as Lloyd Christmas over there... Would I be shocked if A&M wins this game? Nope. But Mond will have to play like he is done well against great defenses... and with that, I would not put money on it...

  22. We had many many drops last year that killed him and the staff elected not to run him due to no true back up QB on the roster. This year, Hylander and Lynch turned him loose and created a monster. Made the passing game much more effective as well.

  24. since Traylor went to school and played there...that wouldn't surprise me. if they could get up in the $650k-$1mill a year range, to start then I'd think he'd do it, but that may be way outta the SFA pay scale. otherwise, I think Jeff holds out for the smaller head coach D1 position (group of 5) to start...one of the Texas schools. how long will UTEP continue in their direction? Texas State had interviewed him before and he was a finalist (they are disappointing)? I think he'd be a great option for a Texas school because of the recruiting that he does.

  25. I’m with you. As a coach, I would have to take that chance. I mean, your QB could get injured just running out of the tunnel to begin a game. But that’s just me.

  26. Oh, I agree with you completely. I see it is a lack of confidence by the coaches in their own ability to evaluate talent. A classic case is Jabar Williams from Garrison. A small town player, but he could flat out play. He went to SFA and had a great career. If you recruit East Texas and can evaluate talent, then you can find players that can play. Put these kids in a competitive environment where they have to fight everyday for reps and playing time and you will put a team on the field that can win.

  35. WR- Amari and Gallup could be a very solid to very good WR1, WR2 duo. Hurns and Beasley are contract guys. Are you bringing them back or bringing in younger, cheaper? TE- This is where Dallas needs to address a FA signing and a draft pick. You got to add talent to that spot. Swaim isn’t a bad TE3. Move on from Rico. Schultz hasn’t really taken advantage of a cesspool of talent. OL- Holy crud things got bad quick. Is it bad coaching? Or has injuries robbed guys of their high level of play? Is Frederick’s injury (possible career ender) gonna allow him to play in ‘19? Collins’ regression is troubling. LB- It’s time to move on from Sean Lee. Vander Esch was a controversial pick but has shown the flashes of the heir apparent to Lee on this defense. Jaylon Smith looks to be back to a starting level LB. S- You wanna spend to bring a Earl Thomas in then here’s your chance. Right now, that’s the biggest needs I can see this team has.

  37. I respect that...but not me. I've done my fair share of homework and I'm not just talking on superstition. If you've followed Temple/Cove/Midway throughout the season, you'd know that they aren't on Longview's level. 2nd round is probably what.. Prosper? Not worth discussing. I already said 3rd and 4th round will be tough countless times. IF we're going to lose, I would bet it's one of these rounds. Semis could very well be Arlington High if it isn't Cedar Hill. I saw Arlington High last week in person. Almost a one man show with Jahari Rodgers at QB. That dude is a baller but their D is suspect and they have no discipline as a team. We would have no issues with a team like that so long as we don't shoot ourselves in the foot as I said. And of course we all know about South Garland in 2005. But if you think this team is 05...I don't know what to tell you. They're almost nothing alike outside of all of the attention both teams received. I get it, one game at a time. Everyone is going to bring their A game. That's cliche as hell and everyone knows that. But you need to realize what type of team we have this year. We're going to bring our A game too week end and week out.

  42. Coming into this season I thought Kilgore would be a pretty good football team because I couldn’t see any glaring weak spots personnel wise. After 9 games I still don’t think we’re particularly bad at anything.... our problem this year is that we’re not particularly good at anything.

  43. Texas is doing a lot of things well offensively. Protecting the football, limiting the 3 and outs, switching field position, scoring points. Heck even special teams are better. But my goodness can someone play some flippin defense.

  44. I watched Gilmer from 2004 to 2014. Had a blast traveling to all of those games! I was one that also said that it would go downhill after hearing Traylor left. Not on here, but to friends. He brought so many things to the table! I spoke to him a few times when given the chance. He was brilliant!

  46. Heard that Kurt did not want the Gilmer job. Did now want to follow Jeff and be the "other" Traylor. Don't know if that is true or not, but don't blame him if it is. With regard to Turner, rumor was that he did not want to be head coach and wanted to stay in the booth calling plays. He only took the job after a lot of pressure. Turner is a good man, but not a head coach. He has to go. Short practices with no contact has turned the Buckeyes into a joke, and that is on Turner. We have not been this bad since Doug Busch was head coach in the 90's.
