I know a lot of Texans who can't pronounce half the towns correctly. He's got a schtick and there's a group that loves him and hates him, I do know he works very hard and his knowledge of the game has improved. I think part of the issue is he probably unfairly gets compared to Craig Way, and that's not fair to anyone.

As I do when I get bored, I look up records. So decided to see what the largest win totals for a three year span in Lobo history is. Three year spans with 30 or more wins... 1935-1937: 31 wins 1973-1975: 30 wins 1975-1976: 32 wins 1975-1977: 32 wins 1995-1997: 30 wins 2004-2006: 31 wins 2005-2007: 31 wins 2006-2008: 34 wins 2007-2009: 39 wins 2008-2010: 37 wins 2009-2011: 35 wins 2010-2012: 30 wins 2011-2013: 31 wins 2013-2015: 31 wins 2015-2017: 32 wins 2016-2018: 37 wins I looked this up because so far for the 2017-2019 three year spans, we're sitting at 29 wins. School records is 39 wins in a three year span so going into 2019, 10 wins will tie and 11 will set the school record for wins in a three year span.

Yea to Jacksonville teachers. Yea, to all Texas Public school teachers statewide. They deserve every penny of the raise they are getting.

Hey, real talk... if they went all-in on Texas high school games they could absolutely own the market. For a state like Texas to not have comprehensive statewide TXHSFB coverage is just criminal. Yes of course. Longview is top 8 in all time wins for a reason. But as 07 said, we've never experienced winning like this consistently and that's facts. And outside of Talley, all of the Lobo records are held by players JK coached. And lets not forget Vondrell wasnt far off Talley's numbers and that's with him having to share carries with Chris Ivory. You dont just get that from tradition or laid foundations, you get that because you earned it. Greatest coach in Lobo history.

No doubt the foundation was set before King arrived, but he’s taking it a step forward. More so than any coach in our history. We’ve never experienced winning like this consistently. No doubt we’re a winning program, and should be for quite a while. But King’s journey has taken us to unseen levels of winning that Bero and Cox could only maintain at spurts. You don’t see these Longview teams ever struggle with a 1-9 squad, which happened a handful of times during those two coaches runs. Foundation was set, but King has taken it to a new level and is by far the greatest coach this program has ever had.

Most were losses, but also found a good amount of losses that ended up being forfeit wins. Everything is updated now though, and corrected. minus a couple that I haven’t been able to officially, officially confirm.

Agreed. Everyone should be happy. Marshall ISD is giving teachers a district raise on top of the state monies. Raise may be as “low” as $5,500 and as much as $7200..... depending on their step scale. Congrats to JISD! But I think happiness abounds across the state for educators unless their ISD is trying to commit political suicide.

LoboFan07... That's an interesting historical perspective into Longview Lobo football for sure ! Eighty five years of kicking opposition tail is really unmatched especially as it pertains to other East Texas schools that have been opponents ! Quite frankly, there's no comparison between Longview and everyone else that the Lobos have faced especially in District play for any other long-time period Really, only Lufkin can be counted as a true "recent" rival and that essentially dates back to the last two decades. In the decades preceeding the 21st century it was John Tyler and to a lesser extent...Marshall, before the '70's & '80's when the Lobos ran off 19 straight wins (1969-1988) before the Dennis Parker "bump in the road era"...but I digress ! As usual, your research is unequaled in this category. Good job on this viewpoint ! I'm thinking Longview's all-time win total is somewhere in the middle 720's (726 or thereabouts) and that win percentage has to be upwards of 67%... that's without me looking this up. DUH to you too. Just saying all schools benefit from the new House Bill. Lufkin teachers get about $6200 more per year added after a 3% raise last year. Yes, every district is different. Wasn't dismissing Jacksonville raises. People get so damn touchy about stuff.

So did you do that when Emmitt Smith held out for a bigger contract in 1993, and Dallas lost the first two games of the season after leading the league in rushing the past two seasons ? Emmitt became the highest paid running back 26 years ago by doing that. Jerruh needs to shut up and pay Zeke.

I would like to see an audit of what Baltimore actually did with the 1.5 billion dollars of "stimulus" money they got during the Obama years. I have heard stories of it going into the pockets of campaign donors ... in fact, there should be an audit of all the stimulus money to see where it went ... I would bet very little actually went toward legitimate tangible projects .... my thoughts are that is was primarily a slush fund for dimocrat backers ...

Ronald Reagan was maybe the best commentator to ever occupy the White House. He bypassed the press and spoke directly to the people. The press hated that because they couldn't slant his message. Today's liberal press is far worse than in the days of Reagan. President Trump is nowhere near the communicator that Ronald Reagan was but their politics are very similar. I'm quite sure if President Reagan had Twitter he would have used it. Donald Trump is talking directly to the people and the press can't stand him calling them out for their phony and slanted coverage. Now everything he says they don't agree with is racist ... Last time i checked the Astros won the world series a couple years ago.... The Rockets are 10 times better then the mavericks and Houston Texans have been better then Dallas Cowboys imo for a while now.... Houston is slowly moving up while dallas is moving down

Question is.... does anyone even care anymore? The Pro coverage for FSSW is abysmal. The Texas Rangers have mostly been unwatchable for 2-3 seasons. Or longer. Dallas Mavericks are terrible.... and have been irrelevant for almost a decade now. Dallas Stars have been mostly awful the last decade. FC Dallas who? They don't show any Cowboy games....but they do pre game and post game. And Long suffering Cowboy fans like myself realize how mediocre Dallas fans have been most of the last 20 seasons. Yeah.... pro sports in Dallas have been in the dumps lately. Mark Cuban seems content with not having a winner. Jerry Jones can't stay out of his own way to keep Dallas mediocre. FC Dallas who? Rangers seem hapless under Jon Daniels. Only the Stars seem interested in building a winner. Dallas has become Houston when it comes to Pro Sports. UGH. FSSW would be better off becoming a TXHSFB only network. lol.

You want to fix public schools to make them more attractive for teachers and coaches? Lord knows we need to! So... Fix our ridiculous judicial system where our litigious society full of ambulance chasing lawyers and weak minded parents and civilians can't run roughshod over authority and rules. Leaders, teachers, administrators are all afraid to make a stand for what's right for fear they will be sued for being firm and strong in authority. In fact.... the general lack of respect for any authority in our modern society is what we are witnessing. Look at what is happening to our police personnel now. Want to change schools? Go vote! Elect legislators who will vote your mind and represent your views. GOOD LUCK!

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it was a success! Small central Texas town had an NFL player host a drill camp on their field, free for the participating kids. Coach Rhoades showed up to help! Coach Brashear told me he knew a couple kids from Rogers and Temple participated, knew there were a few more who weren't familiar. Coach said KCEN was supposed to have a news crew on site in the afternoon. Got to be honest, I'm a little disappointed in the local media coverage.

Put Gladewater or Tatum in that District and there’s a good chance Gilmer woulda missed the playoffs last year. Thank God for Spring Hill.

Without a healthy QB and the ability to sustain drives, the defense was hung out to dry. They didn’t get as much rest as they would have with a healthy QB keeping the offense on the field. And let’s just say our defense stunk to high heaven, it wouldn’t have matter with a healthy QB because teams wouldn’t have been able to outscore us with the exception of possibly Grandview.

Sorry I like Rick Renner... I like his attitude for a change of pace..... gotta Lobo up!!!!
