Another big game for the Yoemen. Last week it was Diboll and now the defending state Champs the Grandview Zebras. Region 3 is absolutely a beast. We can only hope everyone playing in this contest comes out healthy to continue thru the gauntlet of this region. Weather maybe a factor tomorrow. Both teams are well versed on what needs to be done in those conditions. Let's hope for some decent weather. Everyone have safe travels and a Happy Thanksgiving. Yoe wins by 7 in a classic.

Yeah I definitely felt like we gave that game away. Don’t get me wrong Pottsboro has a really good offense, but still feel like we could have won.

There are a lot of things that could be discussed ... but after examination, there were two things that jumped out. Of the 32 regions, from 2A to 5A, only three regions feature Final Fours who were ALL district champions/#1 seeds. And along those same lines, there are SEVEN Fourth Seeds that made the Final Four in their Region. And to re-visit an old adage ....

But In all seriousness probably 99.9% of that comment was out of frustration because this team was not even scratching the surface of what they were capable of. Everyone that has followed this group knew that. I also didn’t expect this type of turn around in the middle of the season, so all that credit goes to the hard work of the coaches and players.

If the Cowboys were to lose today, it wouldn't be surprising that they don't even make the playoffs with Philly having the easiest final five games in the league.

I’ve toiled with this one all week. On one side I feel like Groveton has been an underrated team in the bracket and they were the 3rd best team in the region. On the other I have Joaquin that I just watched pull a hard fought game out against who I still believe was the #2 team in the region. I am leaning Joaquin but it is very close IMO. Sure wouldn’t surprise me either way. Give me Joaquin by a TD or less in another battle.

Every single game at this juncture is a struggle in Region 2.......regardless of who is playing who. I think La Vega will struggle with Melissa too......and may even lose that battle. Decatur is a really good team in Region 1.......but they will probably have their hands full with Springtown. IMHO......I think Argyle shows up Friday in a big way on both sides of the ball. Yes they are banged up a little and without some of their best players.......but Argyle does have depth and talented players on the bench. Maybe not fully seasoned yet or with a year of experience at this level, but they will perform. Argyle will win this game because they are the better team.....end of story. The weather may cause some problems, but it will cause problems for both teams. I've got Argyle scoring in the 40's.......and I don't think Brownwood can do that against Argyle.

See thats where you made an assumption that was incorrect, I didnt get them from the UIL.....the UIL doesnt release them until Dec 6...I called, texted and e-mailed every UIL school to get those numbers early no one else aside from Carl Padilla (who charges a heavy premium for his service) does that...in case you didnt know thats over 1000 schools....so yes that took some time and effort to track down those numbers.... The great thing about capitalism is that the market dictates things...if people choose to pay for my thoughts an opinions, clearly there's a market for it...but when people take it and put it up for free somewhere else it skews that market....again I dont have a problem with you or anyone else choosing not to pay to read some of the content I post..thats your choice on how you choose to spend your money..I'm just asking for common courtesy to not have our premium content taken and posted here (or anywhere else) for free...let the market dictate if that content should be premium or not....if people dont want to pay to read the content they won't subscribe and maybe we'll have to re-evaluate things...
