  1. I am a Hallsville lifer living in Hallsville my whole life aside from the four years I spent in Austin going to UT. My kids went to school there as well. I still live in Hallsville. Hallsville is not a football school. Has not been since the '60's at best aside from the occasional upstart team, the last serious one was the '99 team that lost in the fourth round in the Astrodome. Granted there are the occasional athletes that come around but not enough of them at one time to make a serious impact on the team. Plunk's record at Hallsville reflects what Hallsville's ceiling is historica

  2. I will say it's more Tisd than Lee. They need to stop interfering and let the AD do his job. Also I believe they have unrealistic goals for Lee. They should have left things alone. Redrawing lines like the way they did. The new transfer rules is stupid. It's hurt Lee more than helped Lee.

  4. The really dumb thing about this is the amount of money that San Antonio could have made from having a Chick-Fil-A.

  5. Ever had any dealings with addicts or alcoholics? They never think they are the problem. It's always someone else's fault. Coach Plunk was not the problem. Coach Drennon was not the problem. A LOT of issues and obstacles in Hallsville

  9. I think the Crownover take was simply at a play at his brother. I mean A&M needs a RB so it’s not exactly a wasted ship, but having him blueshirt and getting him in campus can only help with his brother.

  10. Assuming that closes the door on Evans. Not sure I agree with this decision to take Hubbard. He’s not a difference maker imo. I don’t see him playing over spiller Achane or Anias Smith if they leave him there. And that’s not even talking about Crownover now who may or may not fight for carries as well. You could have held out for Evans and if he didn’t get in just saved the ship for a 2021 class early enrollee.

  13. He’s known as a good players coach with ability to develop. His recruiting isn’t yet known if he can land studs because he hasn’t been at a program capable of that yet, but on the surface he has the tools to be a good hire.

  21. Pretty much spot on. Coach Plunk is the winningest coach in the history of Hallsville with a 40% win record (averaged out to a 4-6 record every year). I've seen them several times over the past few years and like you said they sporadically have an athlete here and there but not enough. Plunk did the best he could with what he had. Also, way too many internal issues to overcome. When everyone is not on board & working behind the scenes to sabotage the head coach, it won't happen. From what I know about Drennon is he's a good ole boy that isn't going to go kiss the butts of

  23. Lee is about to be on candidate #5-6. They have tried to pluck coaches away from their current programs with no luck. That tells me a lot about the situation at Lee. Coaches from lower classifications turning it down for one reason or another. Hhhhmmm

  24. There's SO much that goes into it on the top levels... I've even had a certain coach who use to coach at LV and now coaches successfully at ETX small tell me personally. So many factors on and off the field, could write a novel. But you hit a big point. Doesn't too much matter who your starters are, if you don't have depth on the top levels.....you won't get too far. Of course, not always...but all of this is usually the case.

  27. Demond Demas is AWESOME! Demas is probably the most elite player A&M has had since Johnny. Dude is going to be really good, and legitimately is a freakish athlete with speed and outrageous leaping ability. I am ready to see him play.

  29. He had GREAT talent in Mineola for 3-4 years and got out when that talent left. Hallsville saw a title and thought it would work out. Hallsville doesn’t have the kind of talent to win it all at this point. Drennon didn’t have much success as a head coach before the Mineola stop. I think he was at Mildred and Liberty-Eylau.

  30. Guess We will see if This was A good hire think it was a hire just because he had a state title under his name. Didn’t go so well for Hallsville of thinking of same thing I’m afraid same thing going happen in Gs but hope not. After talking to some of the people of mineola about when he was there he just had talent to carry them they said he didn’t do much coaching. Still think some of the higher coordinators that applied might been better higher but we will see soon when he gets in office see what he brings with him!

  34. Or this... Last July, when the Washington Post ran an op-ed saying that McConnell “is, arguably more than any other American, doing Russian president Vladimir Putin’s bidding,” after he blocked numerous bills intended to prevent election meddling—including one that would have required presidential campaigns to report any offers of assistance from agents of foreign governments—McConnell had a massive conniption on the Senate floor. “I was called unpatriotic, un-American, and, essentially, treasonous by a couple of left-wing pundits on the basis of boldfaced lies,” he whined. “I was accused

  38. Several things going on here...first, Brennen said something not right, then actually apologized for it, not something Trump has EVER done, he is not a 'member of the Communist Party' but had one vote over 40 years ago in a presidential ballot as a protest vote, then went onto a long and distinguished career of public service, being cleared for the highest level of security our country has, and this in a week where Trump's SIXTEEN THOUSAND lies were documented. Just sadly demented...

For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

  41. I disagree with you that "any loss would be a tougher opponent than any win". Your team changes year to year. One year you could have a really good team and barely beat a very good opponent. That team that you beat could still be better than some other team that you lost against the year before. The point was just to acknowledge the best teams your program has played over the last decade. Thought it would be worth discussing.
