Maybe the title should be changed to most "Challenging", instead of worst. The title of this thread comes off as elitism. I find it difficult to identify coaches and programs that are working with the "hand that they have been dealt". You have to admire coaches that take jobs where winning is going to be difficult. I heard a story yesterday of a kid that was living on the street because the mom's boyfriend was threatening him. My understanding is the coach found out and the kid ended up staying with him a couple of days. This is just one of many difficult situations that Texas High school coaches are dealing with on a daily basis. Coaches in these type of situations are "winning" regardless of their won / loss record.

Troy used to do the same thing. He would berate players to try and motivate them. I saw the same thing with Dez. We need that fire and intensity back. Sean Lee would do it in the pre-game, but the younger players didn't hear him. Now, he's too old to play in the league. The same with Jason Witten, he had the fire, but even he couldn't inspire players, because he was a Garrett guy as Dez said. They wanted to trust the process, and what have we seen with it.

I always laugh when ppl say this about him, there were times where he was mic'd up and ppl couldn't hear his words until after the fact and ppl thought he was going nuts on the sideline but he wasn't, you had to hear what he was actually saying, his words was very similar to Tom Brady trying to motivate his guys after a bad series but see when Tom did it ppl said oh look at the passion and fire, then when Dez does the same thing it's a problem. Very strange.....

Even if he does make the team, he can always be cut. He's desperate for a job, and I think he'll go all in. He'll never be a top tier receiver again due to his age, but he could contribute. Make the contract team friendly, and if he can't contribute cut him. I'd offer him a small roster bonus, but nothing big. Maybe $100,000, and maybe other small bonuses for performance if and only if he makes the team. He has the desire to play as does Amari for only the Cowboys, and the Home Town contracts can be beneficial to the cap.

Only so many times I can say this. Ed O is not Nick Saban or Bill Billecheat... he is only as good as his assistants. The guy is a recruiter and motivator. And right now, he is one hell of a “fixer upper.” by himself, he is a good coach and nothing more. But his ability to recognize what changes were needed, then hire the right guys makes him an elite College “operations manager” right now. and just a side note... I am pretty sure USC is kicking themselves in the ### right now for not giving him a shot...
