  2. *4pm eastern Also of note, Coach Cochran won state with Liberty Eylau 10 years ago so him and his team will be recognized this weekend for that accomplishment. How cool is it that he is back now with us and has another opportunity to win it again.

  7. People should be more concerned with the flu than the corona virus. It has over a 95% survival rate. The flu kills between 290,000 - 650,000 per year according to the WHO. We shouldn't be throwing as much as we are at trying to find a cure. It's the Dims and the Media that are spreading this in a foolhardy manner. They've done it for every disease since I can remember though except it wasn't politicized until this one. Why is it happening now ? President Trump is in office, and they hate him. I have a friend that went in two weeks ago to have back surgery. He had his first surgery complete, and then he comes down with pneumonia probably from another patient. He's still in pain, but can't have his second back surgery done until he recovers. I think it might kill him.

  8. It was a pathetic attempt, and is in contempt of court in my opinion. I do not see criticism of court decisions as such. This was an attempt to tamper with the court by threat.

  9. Schumer’s remarks were well past bullying. They were threats. Trent Lott stepped down after making a remark merely praising an old man on his 100th birthday. Schumer stands on the steps of the SCOTUS & threatens two members of the Supreme Court. And this less than 3 years after a Left Wing Activist takes his guns and shoots Repubs at a softball practice. Schumer’s rhetoric could lead to something similar for the SCOTUS. After two & a half years of false accusations, an unwarranted impeachment attempt, and now this, it’s obvious the Dems are totally out of control. Until the DOJ, are someone else in Govt gets enough ️️‘S to do something, this insurrection will continue. Schumer should stand down, or stand trial.

  18. Real talk... I'd go total Ditka with the Bengals, draft Burrow, money-whip Brady to coach him up, and build my offense around him throwing it 30-40 times a game. No way in hell it could turn out worse than what the Dolphins have been doing for the last 20 years.

  23. Ok, one of his ex BU players who didn’t work for the school was helping coach. This is not the first time or the last this will happen in Texas HS football. So what exactly does “probation” mean? Does it mean MV losses scholarships or banned from bowl eligibility? Cmon man! Basically it means the young man needs to get employed by MV so he can coach.

  31. None of the other Lamar County school districts were formed by "breaking away" from Paris ISD, which originated as a City of Paris school system back in 1884. The other districts have resulted from consolidation of smaller county schools plus PISD's decision long ago not to expand its base into serving those areas by pursuing annexation. We focus on the athletic side of school systems here on this forum, and I understand the political implications of "smaller is better" where school government is concerned. But the big disadvantage to having multiple independent districts in such a small area (overall population of Lamar County is around 50,000), is the inability to offer a variety of solid educational career tracks that are now mandated by the state of Texas. Education has advanced far past the 3 R's plus ag, homemaking, and woodshop. I wish there were more cooperation among the various schools towards that goal, but that seems unlikely. But, back to the original question of this post: Will NL ever be competitive again in football? I don't know, but I do suspect it will take time. Passing the new bond would be a big first step.

  33. Very doubtful...you really feel like Trump is a towering intellect, a public speaker and debater of some repute, then you don't get out much, and that not mentioning the complete lack of integrity or basic knowledge of just about anything that can be debated about, but good for you to back your man. Sure he will bluster and glower and throw out terrible statements and be inappropriate and not presidential, and I am positive his worshippers will high five each other in glee. That I will give you.

  34. Information on Texas vaccination requirements, including school requirements, immunization schedules, vaccine safety, low-cost vaccines for children, and coverage statistics. Texas law allows physicians to write medical exemption statements for vaccines that would be medically harmful or injurious to the health and well-being of the child or a household member. Parents or guardians can also choose a religious exemption from immunization requirements. Texas immunization requirements work to increase vaccination rates and help keep Texans safe from preventable diseases. https://www.texmed.org/immunizationrequirements/ I think we actually have laws, Barry, I just believe that many of the "very" religious folks in our state try not to follow them. I know that at our schools, students are sent home without their immunization, and to get the religious "paperwork" takes time, so most just get it done, but again, it is a small margin of people in this area. I can't state that what I said was similar for the entire state. Also, women should have the right to decide what they do with their body, once they turn 18 years old, and the taxpayer doesn't have to pay for their abortions, but then again, which is cheaper for the taxpayer--an abortion, or 18 years of free schooling and social programs? So when it comes to children, until they are 18, they should be getting vaccinations and are out of the control of their parents to make that decision.

  35. So what you are saying here is: that if a child decides it wants to change genders, then you are okay with it, because children have rights to their bodies. So Carthdawg, you are alright with giving children gender changing drugs. Let's see you moon walk out of this. LOL.

  36. (On a Facebook page) Y'all need to calm down about Joe Biden. He was my seventh or eight choice after Kamala, Pete, Liz, Amy, Julian, Corey and Beto, but I'm not throwing a hissy about him being the one we probably will have to rally around. One thing I know is this: Black voters know how to cut through the #### and the promises and the politics. Biden can beat Trump. No question about that. And he'll do it without a secondary war about the merits of socialism. They came out for Joe in huge numbers in South Carolina. That tells me a lot of what I need to know. Biden's not the best debater. And no, he's not all there upstairs, but let's face it, a HUGE portion of the American electorate clearly doesn't care what the mental state of their president is. They vote their feelings. And Joe resonates with ordinary Americans. He's fallible. He's folksy. He's familiar. And he's a good guy. So I prefer Liz (the only one left up there among my favorites) but I 100% support Joe if he's the moderate leader after today. I'm okay waiting to get someone I really love in AFTER we get rid of Trump.

  37. Ah, let the fearful, debunked parade of nonsense begin! Trump is going to find that most Americans not drenched in GOP Koolaid could give two poops about conspiracy theories about Hunter Biden, and how much too many Americans really, really, really can't stand him and what he has done to the presidency and our country's policies at home and standing in the world.

  38. But you are trying to point out that children should have the right to decide whether or not they should have to have a vaccination, by using "child rights". Either you don't believe in "child rights" in reality and just want to bust Barry's chops, or you are a hypocrite. Neither scenario would surprise me.

  39. So you want to pick and choose the rights a child can have. You want them to be able to choose life from the mother, choose if they get a vaccination, but don't want to give them the right to choose their gender. Shouldn't they all have the same rights. Or should the government just pick and choose what rights children or any of us can have.
