  1. When I was in Scranton last month, I asked several locals what they thought about Biden; Not one of them had a kind word for him... Very Telling when your “ Homies” won’t brag on you.

  2. I stated that a few weeks ago. I'm hearing that Texas may shut down again, but the death totals don't call for it. I realize they are saying the lack of hospital beds, but why did they tear down or if they did take down the temporary hospital at NRG why isn't it back up ? I would almost bet that it's in a landfill or has been recycled and why it hasn't been done.

  4. I don’t agree with that. If you are concerned enough about COVID to avoid sending your kid to school then how can you justify sending them to participate in an extracurricular activity?

  7. If I were a high school football player, yes, I would be willing to risk death from COVID just as I would be willing to risk death from a violent collision on the field. Everyone who has ever suited up knows that this is a slight risk in any game or even at practice.

  8. 65,564 tests yesterday and 584 positive cases. Something isn't right with that. Are they using different testing methods? I understand they took a really big hit early on. But if social distancing works, how would the disease have spread to a huge percentage of the population when they were shut down? SO much so that hardly anyone is catching it now...even though they are somewhat reopening? Only southern and red states are still having a problem. I smell a big pile of BS.

  13. Actual numbers, as of today, 3,215,074 have the Virus. Even with asymptomatic cases we’re probably less than 5%. Most of us (myself included) mentally see an end to this in the near future, but with no vaccine, we’ll be confronting this Virus, for at least, another two years. And it’s going to infect virtually all of us sooner or later. You can run but you can’t hide. You can wear mask, stay home most of the time, but sooner or later, you’re going to get it. Only possible saving grace is that many, for whatever reason, are naturally immune. If anyone thinks I’m wrong, please point out why. I do find this Pandemic depressing.

  14. It comes down to the number of people being tested also. In as state of over 18 million people only 66K were tested yesterday. That's a whopping .4% of the population. that got tested yesterday-- Overall--New York has Tested--4.5 million people--or 24% of the states population 400,000 positive cases total--about 9% of the states TESTED population has tested positive 25,000 have died--About 6% of those that have caught the virus have died from it--as of July 9. 23,678 of those deaths were folks over 50 years old--well 9 had an unknown age. So, 94% of New York's death have happened to the elderly-- Conspiracy thoughts--if those that have lived with freedom all their lives, are dying out, and the indoctrination of the leftist policies are taking over younger minds--why wouldn't the other post about giving up their freedom of speech--really lead to a government take over of the country? LOL https://txdshs.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/ed483ecd702b4298ab01e8b9cafc8b83 In comparison--Texas Total Population--29.9 Million folks Total Tested--2.6 Million Tested=8.6% Total Cases-210,000=8% of those TESTED have gotten the virus Total Deaths-2918=1.3% that tested positive have died from the virus. So Texas is actually testing more people each day, meaning that our number of cases is going to go up. We will need to see what the numbers are when Texas has tested 25% of their population as New York has. Right now, the averages seem to be that less than 10% of the population has the virus--and those that have it, And 94% or more of those that catch it survive it. So why NO DEATH is good--the hysteria that the media has put forth--I don't believe is necessary or truthful. But that is looking at the numbers, myself.

  15. IMO no one wants to be the bad guy and they keep kicking this can down the road and on to the next person. The UIL and TEA are going to force ISDs to make these decisions. Local superintendents are going to be forced to make some tough decisions. IMO the school districts cannot make the “right” decision because they will be criticized for whatever they do. Let the kids play sports and Covid runs through the locker room and a student passes away, the same people calling for football right now, will jump on the why did you let the play band wagon. They have a plan for the STAAR test but are giving different guiding policies for opening schools this fall. It’s almost like the commissioner of education is pushing his charter school agenda. He tried to get everyone on the year round model and advised opening earlier, but when the districts didn’t jump on that train, now he says open later. I pray for our superintendent. This is a tough job and call. Selfishly, I want football in the fall.

  18. It's gonna be "both/and" rather than "either/or." Parents will be able to choose on-campus, at-home, or a combination of both. Students will be allowed to choose any of the three and still participate. Anything less, and parents will go nuts. The TEA and UIL will do whatever it takes to avoid the wrath of Texas parents. That goes double for Abbott.

  24. Which truth? You mean the lies from WHO and CDC? Fauci's truth? Trump did listen to the science experts. The scientists either intentionally deceived all of us or they have simply been wrong every step of the way.

  25. I disagree with this. I'm right leaning and did not vote for Trump in 2016 because I thought he was just a liberal in sheep's clothing. Well he has done better than I thought and is 10,000 times better than the alternative....which is tearing down America. I know many like me that were not comfortable with Trump but after seeing him a potus for 3 years and his SCOTUS picks.....are now very comfortable with him. If twitter would cancel his account, I think it would be a landslide Trump victory in 2020

  27. I believe in what I'm seeing. People who are typical right leaning people are now laughing at Trump. Trump had a chance to walk into a second term with the Covid19 and riots. He blew it badly. American people watched, and saw how bad Trump was.

  33. The visitors stands were replaced about 2005. EF will definitely fill it up. The sideline will be a new experience for yalls kids and coaches. We were scheduled to get turf for this year, but circumstances killed that. I will say this: the grass looks better than I’ve ever seen it from the road. We are getting new lights. Try the chicken strips and Ram Sauce from the concession stand. You’ll thank me later.

  37. The majority of the electoral college elected him. If it weren’t for the electoral college theare would only be a handful of states that would need to hold voting pollS. The Framers wanted all states to have adequate representation and they were smart to do so. Otherwise this constitutional republic would’ve already be a communist state
