A virus that should be below pandemic status is being fluffed to scare a bunch of sheep is killing all progress he made. he’s an egotistic ####, but he’s had America first since day1, and followed through on his promises. I've been watching Last Chance U... Can't tell you how many times I have heard the N word. Just because you put an A at the end of it instead of an R doesn't change the meaning. Just because you are black saying it, instead of white, doesn't change the meaning of it. People need to chill out with the word... It's like the B word. It is more hurtful to a woman than a man... the use of it is the same and the meaning never changes. Sure, you are saying it in fun most of the time, but people get offended by it pretty easily based on the history of its use... People need to learn some respect.

That, to me, isn’t a staggering stat. On top of that, the reported confirmed cases, a large portion have long since recovered but are still being figured in the count to scare sheeple. Even at 1.4% population catching this in 6 months, that’s on par with seasonal flu.

I sometimes wonder how many of our own members know about the Historical Section of Smoaky.com. The forums drives the energy and "crazy" and fun and games and discussions...sometimes evil (kidding, I think). But, the most time I spend on the website adding to it, revising it is the Historical Section with program information and history on more than 230 schools from Greater-East and Central Texas. The historical win-loss history goes back much further for the programs in East Texas since that's how I began Smoaky.com in 2002. But, the individual game, season and career records is a huge deal to me and I'm always open for suggestions on what needs to be added or revised or look into to for changes. In one district around here, (wife works in) if you don't attend regular school, you are not allowed to due extra curricular activities. That is coming from the superintendent. His reasoning, if you are so scared of the virus you can't attend school, you can't attend practices. But it is a small school. But come to think of it, that should be the way it is done, common sense wise.

This happens during the first week of football every year. Studies show that lack of instructional activity (teaching your body to move the way you move) consistently correlates with early non-contact injuries. Think of baseball. You don't see a lot of ACL injuries in younger kids or torn __________. You see a lot of overuse injuries in baseball. Muscle fatigue, UCL ruptures (Tommy John), tendinitis... all of these are overuse injuries.

I can agree with that. I'm sure it has to do with getting more fans into games. I personally don't understand why we have to social distance if we're all going to be required to wear masks the entire game.

Not gonna lie I ain’t never been a big band fan (halftime was to get food lol) but when my daughter got into dancing on the drill team and I saw the passion she has for it I changed. I love watching her perform and she is nonstop smiles doing it. I have no idea what I’m watching but I love watching her do something that she loves to do. She loves the football team and everything that goes with supporting them. She is a senior this year and once she is no longer dancing I may never watch halftime again but I fault no one who supports the band or their kids in everything that they do. Football is a sport but it is also something that brings a community together in more ways than what happens on the field.

I work on the South Side of Longview (some call it "the hood"). It's predominantly black folks that live in that area. I'm frequently driving the streets of all the neighborhoods, and speak to and have discussions with the black citizens there (of all ages). Over the last several months, since all this racial #### & riots began, I have asked approximately 30-40 black citizens the topic question. Their responses (all of them) went one of two ways...either "I don't know" or "Nothing". That information is not a written & published article, and is not a case study...just my .02 worth.
