  2. You keep saying that, and we keep winning. You ran your mouth in the spring about how we’d be lucky to win two games. We just played our worst game of the season with a a three man coaching staff and missing two of our best players, and you still left with your panties in a wad. Fact is, y’all got outplayed, outcoached and outclassed. And it’s gonna be a while before you turn the corner on us. I know y’all are young, but we had a grand total of 4 seniors that played key roles last night. Most of our team is sophomores. So you better go shine those old trophies up and practice up those stories of days gone by, cuz that’s all you’ve got to talk about for a while.

  4. I’m guessing you are referring to the postgame activities. Perhaps a little perspective is in order. First of all, the traditional postgame handshake is now a big no-no per UIL guidelines in response to Covid-19. I will agree with you if you want to say that it’s stupid that kids can spend the better part of 3 hours knocking the bejesus out of each other but risk infection by shaking hands and saying good game. But I highly doubt that the UIL consulted the Joaquin ISD staff or administration on that particular rule. However, one of our seniors is good friends with several of the Garrison kids and started across the field to exchange pleasantries with them. Our acting HC, in accordance with UIL Covid-19 protocols, stopped him, and they engaged in the UIL approved postgame wave. A couple of Garrison players (I’m guessing NOT the ones friendly with our kid) responded by signaling to our coaches and players (and I’m guessing the RAMNATION, who was also waving friendly) that we are #1 in their . I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt and saying it was their index finger that the young men were holding up. They then proceeded across the field in a very aggressive posture, definitely NOT of the sort one uses in the spirit of sportsmanship. Coaches from both schools stepped in and separated the kids. As for the administrator, I’m not sure exactly who you are referring to, but if he asked a couple of ladies to leave the field, keep in mind that that is also in accordance with UIL Covid-19 guidelines. Maybe he mistook you for a burrow and was asking her to remove you from the premises, as per safety rules in place on our campus. Regardless of the postgame activities and some of the Bulldogs fans getting hot under the collar (pun intended), the better team won, although it was a hard fought victory. Good luck to you next week against Timpson. You are now in our rear view mirror, and we tend to not spend a lot of time looking back. GO BLUE!

  5. Tip of the hat to Harleton. They're a good/tough opponent. Good luck on the rest of the season. Great way to pull it together in the 2nd half Jackets. When you catch the fumble bug like that in the beginning of the game, that usually results in a loss. Especially when it's against a squad like Harleton fielded. Defense stepped up and got the stops they needed and offense didn't panic when things didn't go your way. That took guts and was impressive to watch on the road. Take advantage of a well deserved break this coming week and rest up. GO JACKETS!

  6. Ol’ TRUEBLUE’s thoughts: It was good to meet KirtFalcon before the game. Seems like a stand-up guy. Garrison is much improved. Very physical. QBis very athletic and runs the offense well. This is probably one of the most hard-fought wins in Ram football history. Between injuries to key players, 4 coaches out, including the HC and DC, bad breaks and bad calls, it seemed like everything was working against our kids. Our kids overcame so much adversity to get this win and I couldn’t be more proud of them. Hopefully we’ll get some good news on some of our kids and coaches this week. Enjoy this one Rams. You’ve earned it.

  10. Saw video. From the point where Harleton went up 14-6 midway thru the first qt it was 38-6 EF. That is with EF getting inside the 20 a few times and not scoring. A fumble that killed a drive. EF played without starter #17 and #20 for the entire game #11 didn’t play the entire 2nd half. And my goodness the officiating. They didn’t have a clue on dead ball penalties, one time #10 for EF is pushed into the sideline, fights his way back on the field, established himself back in bounds and is still stumbling from getting pushed out and somehow catches the pass for a TD. The clueless guy calling that side of the field just called the receiver ran out of bounds and no TD. The white hat watched the entire play and didn’t over rule the call. Just terrible. Many other bad calls/no calls. the game was about what I thought. I knew Harleton would come out and play hard. Just didn’t think the could keep it up for a long period of time against the Depth of EF. Could have been a lot worse. Harleton could easily finish 3rd in the dist. I think that would be a heck of a year for them, moving up a division

  12. I wouldn’t say unpredictable lol we have a turnover problem that caused us to lose to Daingerfield but Nobody has stopped us this season but ourselves by putting ball on ground. That’s something that can be corrected and I am pretty sure if you ask DF coaches they don’t want to play us again if they don’t have too lol. Thanks the boys played hard and bowed up last night when had to. Harleton is well coached and physical team that had more speed than I expected they are going to give someone all they want in playoffs.

  13. So far this team is exceeding my best expectations EXCEPT in the passing game. The strange thing is I thought that would be our biggest strength. This is an area we absolutely must improve in.

  14. Congrats to EF. I would have picked y'all, but y'all are so dang unpredictable. lol I pick y'all to beat Daingerfield, but y'all left me hanging. What can I say. Again, congrats on tonight's win.

  16. We are not very good. In the coaching profession there is a old saying. “You cant skip year one”. Add the fact we had a huge senior class last year, a tough year was expected by many of us that actually pay attention. I think the future we will have competitive teams and Coach Harrell will do a fine job. New Diana is always a tough place to win consistently in football. And i am Eagle thru and thru, but a realist.

  17. I keep telling people about Tyree Hale. 2 INT's already this year. Those Hale boys can ball, I think his brother LB LaQualon will get district defensive MVP.

  24. Legacy is going to win games via their running backs. If Longview can shut down their running attack, which has looked great both weeks this season (only 39 yards allowed in week 1)...they'll be fine. Lobos can't give the Raiders a short field, with turnovers, like they did against Temple. Just keep on playing Lobo football and, as I said, they'll be fine.

  29. Texas High 24 Denison 3. - Close game in the first half with Tiger up 10-0 at half. Second half Tigers just wore them down. Yellowjackets will remember Clayton Smith who shut down their passing game with a number of sacks and continual pressure. Overall a good team effort and the score does not reflect the dominance.

  31. Great job Grapeland. Watched part of the game. Got some good size. Definitely have some talent. Good luck the rest of district Alto still getting better. Way to fight even when being down. Going down early takes out a lot of want too but they kept the effort up all the way to the end. Keep playing hard and the wins will come at some point. There is some speed and talent there.

  32. The Dawgs played and beat a great football team tonight. The Dawg D keeps getting better and better. The speed at every position is amazing. The D linemen's first step when the ball is snapped is crazy fast. Linebackers 5 and 6 just do not miss tackles and it don't matter where the ball goes, they run it down, side line to side line. The safety's play position ball and they will light you up whether you run or catch the ball. Corner's can play man and so far no one can out run them. I think they have 7 or eight INT'S in three games. Gilmer rushed for 20 yards, Kilgore was minus 23 yards at the half, and now they hold the number # 2 team in 4A, one of the best running teams in 4A to 7 points. WOW Dawgs were impressive tonight. The Dawg Offensive Line in my opinion is one of the best in all of 4A. Argyle O line and Dawgs O line 1a and 1b. Those big young men just kept pounding and pounding PG and wore them out. Courtney ran hard and must have four eyes to see a crease and hit it. Horton made some awesome throws and the receivers are really starting to run clean routes. Hoskins is one fast young man, would love to see him in more passing situations. Great game Dawgs. Lets Go Dawgs!!!!!!!! God Bless coaches, players, and fans.

  34. This meme exemplifies one of the main problem with Liberals. They hear it on the MSM (Liberal Propaganda Arm of the Democratic Party), it’s true. They never question it. Barry, being shown the truth, still thinks the Proud Boys are a white supremacy group. Not picking on him, all liberals are like that.

  40. Show me where I said I support them in any way, form, or fashion. Oh, right. You can't. Because I haven't. If you want to play this game, Barry, I'll be your Huckleberry. You're a racist, a white supremacist, and a bigot. Now, prove you're not. See how that works? Do you realize how harmful it would be to you if someone knew which school you teach at, and called them and told them that? Now I don't really believe you are those things. But that, I think, proves a point: Something's not true just because you say it is. It may benefit you, if you want the same benefit of the doubt, to avoid suppositions, and to inquire as to what I believe, instead of rectally sourcing an opinion and making an assumption. This would be like me accusing you of outright supporting Antifa, Identitarianism, and Critical Race Theory. Do you? I don't know. But I'm not going to assume you do. Do you support Antifa? You know the Feds recently designated them and the KKK as terrorist groups, right? You know what I support? The truth, freedom, and accurate reporting. Do you believe the mainstream media is infallible? Do you believe everything they tell you is honest and truthful? Do you believe that, beyond "truthful" reporting, that they have no agenda? There have been studies done that show that consuming a wider array of news sources from different "political" spectrums makes one better informed. In other words, someone who consumes both liberal and conservative news is better informed than someone who is in a silo. Which do you do? I don't trust most mainstream media (and data backs me up on this -- most people don't), so I have to be discerning about which news I follow and consume.

  42. If a bunch of people got together to not let BLM and Antifa riot, they would immediately be called Neo Nazis by the media. “White supremacy group clash with peaceful protest” The media truly is the enemy of the people.

  43. And I’m crazy for saying one is better than the others SMFH. These groups aren’t the problem, the media hyping them to be some white supremacy groups is the problem. Media said they are so they must be. Gotta start suing the heck out of the slanderous media.
