A+ Academy was a district game so GV had no choice in playing them. I can promise you GV would have rather played someone to give them more of a challenge. GV played every kid on their 38 man roster..clock started to run in the 2nd quarter, starters started coming out in the 2nd quarter as well. I have seen lots of posts of.."well they should have take a knee".."they should have punted on first down"..."they should have run out of bounds"...that's nonsense..nothing is more humiliating then the other team not trying their best...GV ran 3 plays..dives, off tackle and wr screens all night...you can't ask some kid that was getting play time in his first varsity game to fall down or purposely go out of bounds when he has open field. The real issue is A+ has no business being in 3A, as Tiger03lb mentioned, from having played them before..they are undersized and not very good at football...I mean they had players running into each other of offense in the backfield trying to run plays.. If GV played the starters into the 3rd quarter or were throwing bombs all night or calling timeout with :15 left to get one more play in then I would fully be behind you in your claim....this was not one of those situations.

I watched that game and I don't think it's even possible. Ole Miss was snapping the ball before Bama could even get the signals from the sideline. Saban just has to face the reality that Ole Miss was running circles around their defense for much of the game.

Seen Jasper play on livestream. Watched some of Carthage hi-lites. Both lines are big, but C appears more muscle & less fat. Jasper has a little back that is very fast, but he goes down easy. Then they have Limbrick (#34 I think). He’s a big stud that they keep firing away with. Problem he’ll have, C DL will be big enough to close the holes. I think Carthage wins by 4 TD’s. Competition for them? There isn’t any. 4D2, 4D1, and maybe 5D2. They look that good to me. Disclosure, I’m the worst prognosticator on the Forum.

I think the Cowboys D is going to make Dalton look worse than it actually is. Dalton is a competent player, but I don't think anybody could have success with that trash they call their defense.

A positive for EF...your backups & youngsters will get plenty of playing time and experience if they want it.

Man 2020 has made people so darn soft. I remember seeing Mart win 98-0....nothing was said they ran the same play over and over and over the other team even knew they were gonna run the same play hell the QB told them where they were gonna run the ball guess what the other team was just that bad and I have seen A+ play and zebra is right they are not very good at all I think Teague 8th grade bunch could beat them soundly.

I wouldn’t say wasted... but he has made him the offense instead of using his skills to make everyone else around him better. Ehlinger is a lot like Tebow. Decent passer, hard runner, does not have explosive speed or agility, but enough to make people underestimate him.

Yeah my grandpa started on varsity all 4 years of high school ('47-'50). He always said they'd go around a beat most every team in our area, then go down to White Oak and get handled lol. One of his stories I remember the most.

Coaching makes average players good and good players great. Texas is lacking player development which leads to draft picks. The talent is on the 40 Acres it is just not being coached up. Do not just look at draft picks. Look at the Texas players that are in the NFL and are contributors that were UDFA’s. To me, that screams lack of coaching at the collegiate level.
