Might be same everywhere but runner never stopped moving never come close to being tackled just blew whistle on a TD return made no sense . Also had 2 first downs called back where Ref put fist together at his chest that was a personal foul somehow on pass plays not sure what call was. We got called for blocking below waist down field too just s bunch of weird calls.

The distaste of the WH program by seemingly everyone in the district last season had nothing to do with 2006, purposely blown games, or the former coach. There is something that every school in this district has in common that Whitehouse and one other school doesn’t have. And the fans of those schools discussed it widely, openly, and candidly on this... and other forums. At least they were consistent to everyone. But it’s shameful IMHO. Especially given the makeup of their team... if not their student body. But when fans of MP, Jax, Nac, PT, and Marshall all confirm it..... If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...... What’s funny..... This isn’t Highland Park in Dallas. It’s not Westlake in Austin. It’s not Hunters Creek in Houston. Lake Travis? SLC? Nope. It’s a town with a Dairy Queen in East freaking Texas.

I think right now, it's pretty clear.. Longview and Highland Park are the top 2 teams. With a wide, wide gap. Tyler looked decent against Legacy even though they still lost. Sherman had a huge output against Saginaw, even though Saginaw is awful. Wylie East even had a game they looked good in. McKinney North and West Mesquite have looked absolutely horrendous. But yea, 5A is split now. So all four going are in the same playoff bracket. I don't think it's a wrong to say this district has not been living up to what some thought it could. But that was also with a what we thought would be improved West, North, Sherman and Tyler. Will be interesting to see Tyler tonight at Horn. If they don't win that convincingly, imo, welp.

Man, I really gotta give it up to King. He really has this team on the right track, which is nothing short of amazing considering COVD-19 and the horrible horrible start to the season. Also SUPER impressed with the kids for rising to the challenge and putting aside childish things. There's still a LOT of work to be done, but really proud of the kids and coaching staff.

I think perception of our team would be completely different if we made just half the mistakes we made in that third quarter against Temple. Every single bad thing that could happen did. End of the day, probably the best thing that could’ve happened to us. Just have to continue to improve every play.

I'll give you some numbers and facts: Marshall has won 4 district championships just since 2015..... that's the SAME number that Whitehouse has won in their ENTIRE history. Marshall has been to THREE region semifinals in the last decade. FOUR since 2007. More than 10 overall. Whitehouse has been to..... ONE. Ever. Marshall has been to the state semifinals 7 times. Whitehouse has been.... NEVER. Marshall has played in THREE state championships. Won a state title. Whitehouse..... NOPE. NOT. EVEN. CLOSE. Marshall has 24 district championships. Whitehouse has...... four. Whitehouse playoff record is (8-15). Eight playoff wins. Ever. We’ve had more playoff wins just in the last decade or so. But we’ve had 34 playoff wins.... in case you didn’t know. Marshall has 626 all time-wins. Whitehouse has 248. How's them numbers for ya? I can go on. I have more. ------- And it's not just MY opinion about WH. It's a roundly.... widely accepted opinion by almost anyone that has been district mates with WH for the last two decades. And we may....or may not be one and done again this year. We shall see. But I'd rather be one and done again this year.... than have the history (or lack thereof) that Whitehouse has. Good God.... No arguments here. No disrespect towards ya'll Dawgs whatsoever. Jasper Dawgs claimed a state title before mine did...1990 if I'm not mistaken. We just caught lightning in a bottle when Coach S. came onboard. All good things eventually come to an end, including our amazing run over the last 10+ years. I would love nothing more than to kid myself that this will last forever, but I'm a student of reality,which makes me face the fact it won't. May the best team win, and hopefully everyone (both sides) comes out healthy.

lol. I gonna be honest I did not read the article. I will though take it one step farther. Since 1968 when Jasper beat Carthage 42-8 you know what that makes the head to head record for our schools 2-2. The two wins for yall coming the next 2 times we played after 1969. Those years being 2012&2013. lmao at how that post makes seem way different. That said, in my 47 years of life I have been a all sports fan for as long as i can remember. During that time I have come to the realization there are times you just take your emotions out of it and tell it like it really is. Are my DAWGS due? Sure they are,but it's 99.9% that won't get it this time around. Will I be there cheering them on. OF COURSE I WILL. Yes, I would love to be wrong about the out come. Carthage the past decade or so has sky rocketed to levels that only fans of other schools (my self included) can only dream of. THAT IS WHAT IT IS........

From what I gather from the ones that are opposed to the song is that it was sung at a minstrel show originally. There is a forced connection to what the song is actually referring to as well. If indeed this song was "racist" I am sure that it would have been dealt with long ago. Even if it was originally meant to be racist it has long lost that connection. I was on campus from 1984 through 1988 and I was never made aware of the "history" of the song.

Whitehouse and their constant elitism is what bothers me the most. Going to a game there you get judge for what you do, judge for who you are, and it's more about what cars we drive than the football game. I couldn't care less about the district itself. It's an average white flight school in my opinion. I wish them nothing but the best but that doesn't take away from how they treat people

I honestly don't know. I have not been to a game this season due to Covid. Wife is high risk so I take no chances. Knowing MISD like I do I doubt they are allowing bands do to the virus.

Naw, tru storie. He went in to the witness protection program after the "incident". He knew too many govt secrets (JFK, moon landing, etc). Saved all that "inheritance" from the "incident". I'm good.

What I have read is that after all of the negotiations from the demands of the players this summer, changing names of buildings, funding more minority programs, etc., which the university did with the compromise that the players did not have to sing The Eyes of Texas but would remain on the field. Some of the players wanted the song gone but all of the other demands were met so giving one thing as a compromise seemed logical. All of the other sports programs have complied with this except for the football team. Herman did not enforce it so the players have been leaving. Del Conte, the AD, apparently stated today that the players will remain on the field. This is not a good look for the program as had Herman done what he should have from the get go this would not be an issue (hopefully not). When all of this was going down this summer the university president said that the song would stay and that, while the history of the song would be acknowledged, it would appropriate a new meaning (which is universally accepted for the last upteen 100 years or so anyway). The president recently commissioned a task force to investigate the history of the song with the findings to be submitted by January. Bottom line is that Sam is the only one that stayed on the field after the loss against OU to sing the song and acknowledge the fans. If they were winning I am sure that this drama would be playing out differently. But with today's environment it is just another way for those that have an issue to take their toys and go home. This has been a very divisive moment with UT as over $25M and counting has been pulled by the donors since last Saturday. I think that the players have overplayed their hand in this particularly after an apparent compromise had been met. It is a total clown show right now.

As of today we have social media censoring conservative ideas and covering up leftist crimes. Twitter locking the NY Post and various other accounts. Changing the rules of voting (mail in ballots) just before an election. And today we have a presidential debate moderator admitting to lying about his "hacked" account and trying to shoot the wheels off of Trump during his debate with Biden. So everyone that is supposed to be fair and impartial is cheating for Biden and Trump and the other half of the country is just supposed to sit back and accept the outcome? Imagine a baseball game where the umpire is caught blatantly cheating for the other team. Now imagine the pitcher of that same team is out there with a nail file between pitches and every batter for that team uses a corked bat. Do we just chalk all that up as part of the game and walk away?
