I’m not gonna knock CS and I know in high school football anything can happen, but I don’t see any reason to think CS is gonna score a bunch of points. Nobody has broke the 20 point mark on this Dawg D all season. So if you’re CS, you have to eat clock and limit possessions for the Carthage offense and try to make it a low scoring affair, I think. Don’t see how they do it. Again, I know wild things happen, but this is not last seasons Lampasas offense we are talking here. This defense has stopped all types of offense. Many of which are still playing. The team that beats Carthage will have to match them on defense.

Most of the things I say that irritate you are just in good fun but you guys get butt hurt very easy.

I think it’s funny you guys can beat your chest about Waskom and Tatum but let any of the EF posters be confident in the matchups and think they going to win and you guys can’t handle it. EF will win this game and when they do I am sure you both will make excuses or blame Refs like always.

This topic always comes up this time of year. If someone moves to Carthage for their kid they are making a serious sacrifice because I don't know what the heck you do for a living. Kids have always made a choice between Beckville or Gary or EFields to come to Carthage if they chose to. I guarantee you Surratt isn't going to risk putting the program in jeopardy. Heck, I recognize most of the names as long time area natives. Jealousy is a sad thing.

Do y'all really think this will be a close game ? I don't see this game being close matter fact Carthage will beat China Spring worst than Salado!! I believe Carthage matches up better with China Spring and will totally dominate! Carthage defense is play lights out right now. Salado runs the slot T which is very difficult to defend and Carthage dominated. China Spring is a shotgun read option establish the run type of team which I feel like the Carthage Defense is very familiar with. Salado and China Spring or in the same district Salado beat China Spring 28-14 back in October. I see Carthage dominating China Spring similar to how we beat Silsbee . Carthage got off the gas against Salado after they went up 35 to 0. Coach Surratt didn't wanna put to much on film for China Spring to see and that came from coaching staff.

Ignorant. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, when you build a consistently winning program that is always a contender, good players on weak teams want to come play for a winner. Especially when you have parents who are heavily interested/invested in their kid’s sports as many in the East texas area are. Gilmer, PG, and Carthage most of all know that it’s just ignorance and haters. All these programs have heard it and will hear it for as long as the success lasts, until there is no more reasons for other, less successful program’s fans to be jealous of.

What is there to offer in Carthage, for people to want to move in? In the past, when the oilfield was booming, we had people move in to work here. It's not like we can offer people great paying jobs, to get their star athlete kid to play on our team. Like other successful programs, people want to jump on the bandwagon and give their kids the best experience possible. If we had not won state so many many times in the last few years, then we would play with the kids that started playing together in Junior High and still be just fine.

Ain’t that a shame. Nobody ever moves to Tatum, huh?

Hopefully Timpson will win; otherwise, Region III will be embarrassed by Region IV (again). Timpson may or may not be able to play with Region IV this year, but they will next year.

If this doesn’t put a smile on Kirt’s face then nothing can.

At this point the best thing that kid can do for Texas is be healthy and get drafted in the 1st round.

This should be a great game, China Spring is playing pretty good right now. Carthage's defense will be the difference, they are swarming to the ball right now and playing extremely physical. I predict the score will be 42-21, with China Spring having some success in the first half. We all know that Preston's defense takes over after the 2nd half! Go Dawgs!

How are your comments not directly about Carthage when you’re responding to a Carthage fan? You aren’t bothering me with this as we’ve heard it all before and will hear it again in the future.

My friend Nick asked me to get some information on this Herman fellow. Seems he has turned in an application at the Nick Saban Coach Rehabilitation Clinic in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Currently, we have an opening. If accepted, he will take Butch Jones’s place as an intern, which involves pouring coffee and keeping Saban’s jar of Little Debbie cakes filled. He’ll also be responsible for ordering the cigars for the annual post-Tennessee game celebration. Nick will look the other way if Tom sneaks a smoke. Since THE University of Texas will be paying Mr. Herman millions to NOT coach their Longhorns, we don’t see the need to offer him a salary or a per-diem. He was wise to get his application in early. We already have applications coming in, including from a guy named Muschamp, and some angry looking fellow wearing khakis.

Don’t worry canadian would have won by 4+ scores. I watched both teams in person that year.

Who is the average running game you speaking of ? The only teamS to just run on us with a lot of success was Hemphill who has a D1 RB committed to ULL, and Pewitt who’s Oline averages like 295 lbs and the regions leading rusher in #8 who the announcers said was closing in on 2,000 rushing yards. Nobody with an average rushing attack has run on us. So next time know your facts.

Carthage handled Salado better than they did LH in ‘18. Folks are always worried about the stupid wing t, because it’s almost a novelty these days. I hate it, absolutely hate that shell game offense. You run it, because generally you don’t have the athletes to line up and play ball.

He was covering #4 last game at times not having someone to cover him is a problem and don’t you got some basketball practices to go watch ?

Not gonna lie. Thought Dallas had a small shot at running the table with a healthy Dalton and bad schedule. This game blew that out of the water. This is a bad team.
