I feel much better now after relieving my bowels all over wtxfootball4 points

Really believe this will be a closer game then the 1st matchup. Gilmer with their passing game, mobile QB that can make plays with his legs and WR’s have a chance to test the Carthage D. I think they will learn from the first game and stay away from passes over the middle of the field. That is where BT threw his picks in the 1st game. If they can get both Fluellen kids and Hurts one on one on the outside that is their best chance at success. Problem I see is Gilmer stopping Carthage. Expect to see Carthage’s offense have their best performance of the year. They practice indoors and playing indoors at AT&T is a big advantage. The offense is always awesome at Jerry World. I think it will be a 42-49 to 28 type of game. Similar score to the LV game last year. I think both offenses have some success, but Carthage D is just too good in the end. One of the top units in the state at any level. They are fastest D to the ball I have seen in a long time. Great game for ETX. Gilmer and Carthage at Jerry World. Can’t get much better than that.4 points

I pooped on you once. Would have #### on you again but I’m out of “reactions” for the day. The Honcho will return and with an upset tummy.4 points

Good luck Lindale, represent East Texas well! Argyle is playing tough football right now, but anything is possible. Lindale has fought their way to get here, continue the fight and shock everyone as underdogs!3 points

I'm not betting against the blue Eagles. Y'all have won when you weren't supposed to and continue to surprise everyone. You've got my vote. Good luck and congratulations on a great season!3 points

This game's been a long time coming. Glad to be playing it. I remember our toughest opponent when the Dawgs won their first state title in 2008 was none other than the Bux of Gilmer in a quarterfinal game played at SFA. We prevailed 31-28 if I'm not mistaken. It was the Dawn of a New Era. Fast forward 12 years and 7 titles later, here we are again for all the marbles. I wouldn't have it any other way.3 points

Exactly, when I wanted them to win the lost. Now I'm wanting them to win, and they lose. This team is bipolar.2 points

Trump voters are snowflakes? Anything you say is null and void with your hammer and sickle logo. Feel free to bring your communist @$$ to the game on Friday and talk that cash money in some East Texas white people’s faces... but you won’t. Internet message board tough guy of the year nominee right here. ^^^ Regarding the game- Against overwhelming odds, Lindale wins a tight one. Why? Because there is no single greater source of motivation in the entire world than folks lining up to tell other people what they can’t do. In this particular case, I feel like it was written.2 points

Wow how’s this game Round 2? In dfw but have liked watching Longview when I can for the past couple years. I’ll go with Longview in a close one just because they have had to face a team like HP. Lancaster has played scrubs.2 points

In my opinion the solution rests directly on the shoulders of the coaches. How many coaches pull the even tempered seniors aside after their playing careers are over and suggest they can stay involved in the game by officiating? My guess is very few. They probably would not like the feedback they get rejecting their suggestion. “Coach, why would I want to get abused by you and the fans”. My observation is the offensive coordinator is in charge of the offense. The defensive coordinator is in charge of the defense. The Head Coach is in charge of managing the referees. Until coaches start managing the kids and not the referees, the referee pool will continue to decline.2 points

As far as this season goes...we are about as far as I thought we would get with a good defense and KM. I thought our ranking and preseason predictions were based on the type of program we had more than what was taking the field...for me, everything beyond this past Friday is a bonus. We are now into playing teams that SHOULD beat us on paper, so it is on them...I think we have nothing really to prove...but will say without hesitation, if this team can control penalties, turnovers, and have a consistent and complimentary passing game, this team can play with anyone in 5AD1...I hope these guys achieve what they deserve...2 points

Thanks, thought maybe I was going crazy. Haha. My point was that if you give Argyle those quick chances they will score. LBJ didn't on all of them I don't think. Argyle is very well coached and doesn't make many mistakes. Lindale needs to play darn near perfect and control the pace of the game.1 point

I think thigh will be up for it. The dline has been a force against the run all year, hopefully that doesn’t change, the secondary has been the question... the qb and wrs Crosby have are good I can see them having some success through the air. If the pressure from the dline is anywhere near what’ it has been then I’m thinking they can get the qb out of rhythm. a lot comes down to tigers offense imo. LC deserves credit but I believe the offense is much better than they showed Friday night. the game could have easily been. 20-0 in the first half. Oline played very poorly mchenry was on the run a lot, again credit to LC they played hard and were prepared. I believe they were tied with Huntsville going in to the 2nd half earlier this year so they have shown they can play. Like @Mattmentioned they have shown to play to the level of the competition, wish that wasn’t the case. Mchenry has gotten a lot of credit for being an accurate passer and he was far from that on Friday which of course has a lot to do with the pressure that was there in the first half. Crosby will def matchup with thigh better than anyone else has but if the oline can keep the pressure off of him I see him making a lot of the throws he missed on Friday night. I agree they need the starting rb playing this week. He played one series and broke a run for about 25 yards before stepping out of bounds and then never returned1 point

Be interesting to see how fast #5 could run 400 meters in pads - with a ball carrier with about a 50 meter head start.1 point

I know what you were saying but they was never 5a the highest classification. That's why I asked. I knew they were in the second highest classification at that time being 4a.1 point

Reserved seats bought for both games with two separate tickets. 7 hours between start of the 2 games. Yeah, they will enforce it.1 point

Well, there are only two games on Friday. Carthage/Gilmer kickoff at 11 am Argyle/Lindale kickoff at 7:30 pm Huge amount of dead time between the end of the first game and start of the second. I think that’s the reason for the rule.1 point

So..... Jax (we) played Nederland and Pine Tree. Nederland hammered us in Tomato Bowl. PT only beat us 49-42. The difference? 4 turnovers vs Nederland.... Zero turnovers vs PT. there you go! Pine Tree by 10.1 point

No doubt, Texas High is talented... but they seem to play down to the team they’re playing. I saw that here in Jacksonville when Texas High came here. In the playoffs that is a fatal mistake. I don’t know much about Crosby..... but I doubt they have the talent THigh has. Nevertheless, THigh can’t afford to “spot” Crosby the same first half they spotted Lake Creek. Start faster, finish... Go Tigers!!1 point

LC was filling the gaps and bringing an extra man on the outside and up the middle. That had the offensive line off all night and they could not locate and block the rushers. I did not understand some of the THS play calling also. The OL has to pick it up from here on out and there are some players that have got to keep their tempers in check. They should have had a couple of unsportsmanlike penalties called against them that were not. QB was definitely off with high throws and one of the wide receivers has to stop sulking when he does not get the ball because the QB had defenders in his face all night and could not go through his progressions.1 point
