  1. Carthage would have beat the PG team in 2017. Would have been similar to the last few games where PG can’t score many against the Dawgs.

  2. I’m pretty sure Carthage would run roughshod over either of these teams this year, lol. I thought that went without saying.

  3. Saban going to bring in Herman and his staff that’s let go and win the NC.

  4. I just hope the UIL allows home team streams to continue. We had so many viewers, we’d pay them a cut. That’s all they want. The problem with the playoffs I listened to is the commentators just weren’t familiar with the teams. And the camera work wasn’t very good in several games I saw.

  5. The 2020 Cowboys are done. 6-10. Hope to heck it’s good enough for a top 10 pick.

  7. After that week 1 win over Vandy there was some concern. Bama was Bama. That win over Florida felt like the turning point. Probably the funnest year since Manziel was on campus.

  8. I just hope Sark knows how to use these players. Herman’s 2 biggest problems were playing not to lose, and not knowing how to use the talent he had on the field. He made Texas very one dimensional with Sam.

  11. It's always happened. 2016 as well : Now you want Republicans to remain silent. The Dems set the precedent. It's American tradition dating back to 1800. I don't like musicals, but I'm sure "Hamilton" may even touch on it in their portrayal. https://www.history.com/news/most-contentious-u-s-presidential-elections

  12. Davis or Flood would be the best OL coach Texas has had since who knows. Davis was at Arkansas this past season under Pittman and was previously at Missouri and Florida.

  13. 5. (cont'd)...on the Raiders' home field. They were quite hospitable, as the Bulldogs only had to cover 23 yards to pick up 2 of their 1st 3 scores. 6. The 3rd-round game pitted a team that was about to move up to Class 5A (Crandall) against a team about to move down to 4A Division 2. The smaller school's team won 52-21. 7. The Bulldogs returned to the Tomato Bowl for the regional championship game against Midlothian Heritage. For the 5th year in a row and the 10th year in the past 12, CHS won the regional title. In the 24-7 win, all 4 of the victors' scores came on 4th-down plays. 8. Lampasas and CHS combined for more than 900 yards of total offense in the state semifinal game. CHS won the thriller 49-42, as senior WR Kelvontay "Moochie" Dixon, who had scored on a 95-yard pass play in the third quarter, caught a 3-yard touchdown pass with 13 seconds left to break a 42-42 tie. 9. The state championship game was a dream matchup of two undefeated teams. WR Dixon had 3 touchdown pass receptions during a 5-minute stretch from late in the 2nd quarter until early in the 3rd as Waco La Vega suffered their biggest loss in over 5 years, 42-28. Before a crowd of nearly 17,000, the Bulldogs were crowned as state champions for the 3rd time in 4 years and 7th time in 12 years. With 229 rushing yards, junior RB Mason Courtney's performance was good for only 2nd in the voting for the game's Offensive MVP, which was won by Dixon. Senior S Cole Whitlock, who had 11 tackles, was named the game's Defensive MVP. 10. The Texas Sportswriters Association named Scott Surratt as the Class 4A Coach of the Year. Named to its All-State First Team were 6 Bulldogs: WR Dixon (also a track and field star who competed multiple times in the State Meet in Austin as a sprinter, triple jumper, and long jumper; was a teammate of older brother Keaontay Ingram this past season at the University of Texas); junior TE Montrell Smith (at 6-3, 230, he was a big asset either blocking or receiving); junior Tee Kellum (5-10, 300+, some knowledgeable football people say that another few inches of height is the only thing keeping him from being recruited by every major college in the country); senior DE Quinton Owens (combination of size (6-3,230) and speed allowed the Bulldogs to use him to either rush the passer or cover receivers downfield; now playing at SFA); senior LB Rayvon Ingram (was a Second Team All-State selection the prior year; combination of size and speed enabled the Bulldogs to play him in the backfield in goal-line offense at times during his high school career); and DB Whitlock (3-year starter on 2 state championship teams and a semifinalist; played either safety or linebacker, depending on the team's needs at the time). QB Horton was named Second Team All-State (threw for 3,746 yards and 49 touchdowns in his first year on the varsity; is presently playing on the varsity basketball team for the 4th year in a row).

  14. That video makes it seem like there are several expected to return as well. Would not be shocked at all to see buddy johnson back. He is best friends with Buckley who is staying so maybe there's some other pieces in play.

  18. Sarkisian's record may not be all that great when he was at Washington, but it should be noted he took over a dumpster fire from Tyrone Willingham that was 0-12 the previous year and Sark had them in a bowl game his 2nd year. I think his staff will be miles better than when Strong and Herman were hired. Strong brought along the likes of Shawn Watson and Herman brough his UH buddies and Drew %#$@ Mehringer.

  19. Interesting hire. Can recruiting guys put their money where their mouths are and recruit a successful team?

  27. If you throw out this weird season then Harbaugh has averaged 9.4 wins a season. Michigan averaged 6 wins a season in the seven years leading up to the Harbaugh hire.

  28. It's even worse when you consider their combined "contribution" to this country. I would demand there be term limits but who am I kidding? We can't even have fair elections anymore so...

  29. They had a solid year. They are a complete team. Very good offensive efficiency and solid defensively. They dont play a style that "scares" anyone but they have a style that wears you down. They physically whipped every team they played in the second half except Bama. What Jimbo is building is sustainable and will only improve with confidence and recruiting. Need to figure out the WR situation but they will be a legit threat moving forward.

  30. Very good season for the Aggies. I’ll be honest I only watched bits and pieces of a couple games but they looked good from what I saw. Great win tonight. Definitely looking forward to watching King.

  33. On the one hand this is completely unacceptable behavior...on the other hand maybe it would not be such a bad thing if the political aristocracy feared the peasant class a little bit.

  34. I have not watched a SJW game this year, and I was a die hard life long Cowboy fan. My family is multi-generational Cowboys fans. BUT I HATE THE WOKE MARXIST STUFF that the NFL embraced more then I love the cowboys. Looks like I have not missed that much this year. so the mantra from reading yawls post is "Same drama but with a different mamma."
