That's happening in Texas as well. Many students aren't doing their assignments, because their parents aren't supervising what they're doing. I know the rate for kids with failing grades is high in the Houston area, and I'm sure it's the same in other areas of Texas and across the United States that have remote learning. It's not like there's any punishment for the kids, and last year they basically passed them all, and I'm sure many kids think the same thing will happen this year.

Brock has success is pretty much all boys/girls sports. They must be doing something right in terms of wanting an overall successful athletic program. I doubt they are concerned with how everyone else does it. In fact, I would think other small schools would like to follow the Brock model.

Yes! This is an overlooked point. Like for real, when's the last time there was a major scandal over a team being left out of March Madness? I'm sure it's happened occasionally, but the tourney is structured in such a way as to mitigate the possibility of a worthy competitor being omitted. I honestly believe that if we take all conference champs plus a few high-ranked "wildcards," we'll have something far superior to what we have now. Will it be perfect? Of course not. But it'll be a damn sight better than the current system.
