It's been said before...the democrat party see's the black community as a voting bloc...period. They don't want to see success....look at Thomas Sowell, Shelby Steele, Walter Williams, Larry Elder, Ben Carson, and now Candice Owens....along with many other successful conservative Black Americans. The left goes after them and calls them Uncle Toms. You look at any conservative Black American and they are ridiculed by the left. Now look at what the left has done to the Black community since the 60's....single mother's went to 70% from 20%, welfare payout's instead of investing in better school's, not allowing vouchers so parents can send their kids to whatever school they want. The list goes on and on....To many race hustlers make too much money for it to stop unless the Black community start's voting different. Look at the last election and how much the Black community voted for Trump. The democrat party couldn't let that keep building...it had to be stopped. I want to see every American no matter what background to have a fair chance at life. Doesn't mean everyone will have the same outcome though. There are Black Billionaire's that worked hard and made it and that's what America is about. But the left want's to rehash the founding of this country and re-write history and blame every white person alive now with claim's of racism....Nope

Agree 100%. I like the staff he's put together, and what he's doing on the recruiting trail already, but he's also never had a problem recruiting. He recruited very well at USC too (Top 3 classes), but he could never put together much success on the field. And where have we recently seen this same thing, oh yeah, with Tom Herman. So while I'm excited about the change, I'll save my optimism for when I start seeing success on the field.

And they're still complaining. The right to vote notwithstanding, how's all that other big brother stuff working out? At what point does blame fall upon the individual for their circumstances in life? Ever?

I think you should be grounded, in what life is about, instead of condemning others.

Should be worth the price of admission watching Hatten vs Harvey in this one. After looking at HH’s roster and seeing a 6’7 Center and a 6’6 Power Forward I was expecting to see some work in the paint. But after watching their video highlights they are Hossiers reincarnated. They play solid fundamental basketball and probably shoot above 40% as a team from the 3 point line and above 90% from the free throw line. Gonna take Carthage’s best game of the season to win.

I think the Sark era has a higher floor because of the roster he was left with and the staff he put together. I slap think the Sark era has a higher ceiling because of the buy-in from the admin and the alignment of the University. Sark has by far the best roster to work with when compared to Strong and Herman. There are some depth issues and question marks but the roster has a lot of good pieces to win with. He is the first coach to actually use the money that comes with the Texas job on a very good coaching staff. However the staff doesn’t come without questions of its own. Obviously they can recruit we are seeing that now but can they develop? I feel comfortable saying Sark can develop QBs but the rest will be a wait and see for me. One other thing I do like the coordinator hires, himself on offense is very promising, but he also money whipped Banks who is a great SP/T coordinator and then pulled one of the top DCs that no one thought was available. That gives me some excitement for Xs and Os. There is reason for optimism and its a lot more fun to talk about. I hope the hype translates to the field in September.

Like you I'm optimistic, but we'll see come August. ULala is one of the better G5 programs to open with, they aren't no slouch as Iowa State found out last year. Like you, the staff put together has me feeling real good. Just look at the comparison to Strong/Herman's staffs. Flood is better than any OL Coach in that time frame and it's not even close. Kwiatkowski is a huge upgrade over Bedford and Orlando. Davis and Banks are top notch coach/recruiters.

Well.....maybe....but not in this case however. 100% support, love (as testified above), and even compensation. Coach Meeks was ready for a bigger school; that is what he has been associated with most of his life and this was a great opportunity. I don’t think there is one more thing we could’ve done to keep him. So what you said above may apply to some situations, but not this one.
