You a'int seen nothing yet. This so called "migrant surge" is just the tip of the iceberg. Millions and millions and millions more will be on the way in coming months. We will have an humanitarian crisis on our hands. For the first time in decades we ALMOST had control of our southern border and in just a matter of weeks Biden and the dems blew it up. I hope they are happy.3 points

You're not immune even with the vaccine. I know someone personally that had the virus in August, then both shots in January and February, and after her second shot, she tested positive again. Britain has been having trouble with both the Pfizer and Astra Zeneca vaccines. Then from what I've read you'll have to be vaccinated again in 6 months after the initial vaccination. The road goes on forever and the shots will never end.2 points

If you want to get the shot, get the shot....If you want to wear a mask, wear a mask....If you want to shut your business down and stay home, do it...if you want to tell me what to do.....I can't say that on this site without getting banded.2 points

My son son played for Atteberry at Southeastern and loves him. My son played with Pitt boys Mitch Manley and Kaymon Farmer. I believe their strength and conditioning guy Sean Cooper is from Pittsburg. I too, think he is a great ball coach.1 point

I read about it on the day he did. So that's not much irony, then again why should the press even be talking about Trump ? Do they want to resurrect him to run again in 2024 since he was great news fodder.1 point

The thing about beard is I see a lot of Billy Gillespi in him. As in, he's a hard nosed coach that is extremely tough on his team in terms of getting them to play physical defense. That system works great at a school like Tech that typically has multiple players in their 3rd year and isn't recruiting 1 and done guys, but when you get the high end offensive studs that Texas is capable of getting they usually don't mesh well with the coaching style. Billy G failed at Kentucky because he couldn't get the 5 star 1 and done studs to buy into his system. Can Beard do better at Texas? I think so but I could easily see it failing.1 point

Nah, if it were a perceived Trump wreck y’all would be lapping it up. Since it is definitely a Biden train wreck y’all don’t want to acknowledge it.1 point

They are just a couple plays away from being 0-3. Pitt had the game winning run on 3rd base in the bottom of the 7th with no outs against them. Was called out at the plate scoring on a passed ball. District 15 is a dog fight every Tuesday and Friday.1 point

The game was officiated in a way that allowed ACU to do what they do best. ACU is 5th in the country in fouls committed, but everyone is talking about how great their defense was va Texas. It wasn’t that great, they were just not called for fouls. ACU committed 1 blocking foul on defense and was rewarded with 4 charge calls. That’s 5 turnovers that are literal 50/50 calls for a ref. On top of tha, ACU got every bounce and prayer shot answered. 3 times in the 2nd half Texas played great defense for the entire shot clock only to have an ACU player bank in an off balance shot off the backboard. ACU played hard and deserved to win the game but their biggest break was the way the officials decided to call the game. Texas didn’t play well and they weren’t lucky at all with bounces throughout the game. Still when Texas did everything right, Jones hits the go ahead 3, then Kia Jones gets a block on the ensuing drive by ACU, the ball bounced right to an ACU player that got fouled and at bad free throw shooter calmly makes both to win. You need luck in this tournament and it was on the purple teams side Saturday night.1 point

Until a gunman goes to the donut shop and kills 6 policemen the strawman argument presented by SgtJoker " fitting name for this idiot that you follow" doesn't hold water, up until that time mental illness is very relevant in this one as most all crime against Asians have been committed by democrat thugs, not sure of this guys affiliations but since you want to imply it was a race crime most likely then according to the stats he would fall into the dimwit category1 point

I brought up abortion in response to Barry’s post above. Read that poo and replace social distancing and wearing mask with abortion. I was pointing out that he talks about masks and distance as if it’s proven science (which it’s not) and defends and supports political candidates that support the murder of the unborn. That’s absolute insanity! Seriously, read that ponder that for just a sec. mask wearing and social distancing are the gospel, and killing babies is ok. Does that not strike you as completely asinine? I’ll agree that a sin is a sin when it comes to falling short of Gods will and being in need of a Savior. But I’ll disagree that all sins are the same. A few examples: Old Testament: A thief paid restitution; an occult practitioner was cut off from Israel; one who committed adultery or a homosexual act or cursed his parents was put to death (see Exodus, chapter 22 and Leviticus, chapter 20). In the New Testament Jesus said it would be more bearable on the day of judgment for Sodom than for Capernaum because of Capernaum’s unbelief and refusal to repent after witnessing His miracles (Matthew 11:23-24) When Jesus spoke of his second coming and judgment, he warned that among those deserving punishment some would “be beaten with many blows” and others “with few blows” (Luke 12:47-48). He also reserved His most fierce denunciations for the pride and unbelief of the religious leaders, not the sexually immoral (Matthew 23:13-36).1 point

Texas has the talent and should’ve beat that team 85-50. That’s the talent disparity between the two. Then factor in Shaka smart and you get the rest of the equation1 point

Longview 2024 SS Chase Smith was also at FBU regionals today, earning an invite to the Adidas National Top Gun Showcase in Florida. I haven't talked about Smith much on smoaky, but the Foster MS product is a top 5 talent out of Longview's '23 and '24 classes combined....and trust me...that says a lot.1 point

Oh so you wouldn’t stand up against slavery? i would, just as i do what i can to call out the murder of the innocent. I think Christians will have to answer for those things we stood idly by and allowed to happen in this great country he blessed us with. I will not cast my vote for those who support the murder of the innocent. Anyone who does i wonder how they call themselves a follower of Jesus!1 point

I see it this way, Dave; If someone wants to wear a mask because they feel more secure with it, More Power To them; As for myself, (&others, I’m sure) People don’t like Mandates that require them to participate in the charade in order for them be able to move about freely in this “Free Country”. This country wasn’t Created for men who simply conform to whatever they are told to do. Again, this is My Opinion with regard to your question.1 point

Texas Basketball and at times Football has a horrible recent tradition of playing at the level of their opponent. ACU played strong defense, but our guys never made an adjustment. We continued to push to the basket and make horrible attempts at layups one would only see in a game of HORSE. Why not drive and pull up for a short jumper? The foul at the end was not the reason we lost, but it was a bad call IMO. I know I'm biased, but the officials let these guys play rough all night. So few fouls called one would have thought a foul at the end of the game would have been obvious - not "ticky-tacky." And some of Shaka's substitution calls don't make much sense to a guy watching from his man cave. I think Shaka needs to go. His overall record and performance in the big tournament is much worse than Barnes or Penders.1 point

Do you think he killed them because they where Asian? Most all the hate that has been heaped upon Asians is from black thugs if you bothered to read anything. Reason the GOP didn't support is because they tried to blame Trump for the so called Asian hate when he refers to the Covid-19 as the China Virus which it is. Typical dimwit hate mongering, you be amongst them...lol1 point
