I am saying that those people should be smart enough to know that they are going to have to pay back their loans, if they take them out. It is a chose to take on student debt--not a "I have to" situation. If they were wronged--and they have a valid case--as I said above--that is what the judicial system is for, not the executive branch wiping out a debt, just because they think they got taken advantage of. But I do support student loans being reduced if you work in certain field for 5 years after your college education is done--such as teaching in a Title 1 School, or working in a very poverty stricken area as a nurse, doctor, or first responder. But I will never support an executive branch person using the stroke of pen or pencil to decree that because people CHOSE to take on a student loan--that they shouldn't have to repay that money. Again, this is why GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT BE IN THE LOAN BUSINESS!!!!!--I mean look at the actual numbers--1 Billion Dollars at 6% interest--which I believe is the highest a loan use to be, but since I haven't had one since the early 1990s--just cost the American taxpayers 60,000,000 in interest alone, not including the 1 Billion dollars. So if you are telling me that people are SO STUPID, that they don't understand that they have to repay a LOAN--then those people really did NOT learn a lot in their 13 years of FREE PUBLIC education--which means they should NOT be going to COLLEGE at all!!!!! LOAN--a thing that is borrowed, especially a sum of money that is expected to be paid back with interest.-just the definition of LOAN!!!!!
