  1. Officer was a hero....after they killed the thug they should have hung his body from the nearest flagpole and left it for the buzzard’s....

  2. Texas High- After struggling in 5A Div I football the last few years, the Tigers dominated in their new Div II digs with a district championship and an impressive (11-1) season. They look to remain on top in 2021. Pine Tree- The Pirates are coming off their best season since 1976 at (9-2-1). They had a generational ATH in DJ Freeman at QB. The Bucks are looking to replace and continue their success in 21. Whitehouse- The Wildcats are coming off an (8-3) season and will have a new HC on the sidelines to keep things headed in the right direction. WH has become an annual playoff contender...but winning in the post season has been a struggle. Nacogdoches- The Dragons made some noise in 2020. At (5-5) they snatched up the final playoff slot and ended Marshall's domination of the district. Nac is looking to take the next step and become a district title contender. Marshall- The district championship streak ended. The long consecutive district winning streak ended. The long playoff streak ended. Some big off season staffing changes and a year of experience should have the Mavs back on track after a very disappointing (5-5) in 2020. Mount Pleasant- The Tigers didn't win many games in 2021, but they were competitive. As always seems to be the case for MP.... depth will be the biggest issue, not lack of athletes. Jacksonville- In spite of their 1-9 record, the Indians were competitive in most of their games. Lack of depth usually lead to second half blowouts. But Jville has talent; particularly on offense. Hallsville- The Bobcats only played 6 games last season due to COVID-19. They were winless on....and off the field. They have an uphill battle ahead of them in 2021, but they are never short of athletes on the field.

  5. I bet they accomplish winning a State Championship. The same thing they did this past season.

  6. The fact that you endlessly quibble over every word said by Dr. Fauci, attacking him right on cue from the alt right is just too predictable and tiring. Really, not too much more to it. Culture 'war'- check. Hunter Biden- check. President Biden is senile-check. Election 'integrity'-check.

  8. Yes, I know full well what I said. I keep having to repeat myself. You're a ChiCom Bot. The laugh's are on yu. I'm a real person, known by person's in Carthage, Tx and person's not from Cathage, Tx. I created my account here to support my Alma Mater, the Carthage Bulldogs. What's your reason for being here, except to play the part of a Chicom Bot?

  9. I think most 5A and 6A schools in ETX have a talent drain of a sport or two to a neighboring school that excels in said sport. Marshall’s is definitely baseball and softball. Our drain on those two sports is divided between a school to the West of us... and to the southeast of us. Not to name names

  11. It flipped about 5-6 years ago, there was a change in the little league program here. Nac Youth Softball association board was taken over by parents from small towns out and around Nac. They changed the team building rules and schedules to allow those teams to be built and kept together from Tball all the way through high school while the players that live in Nac get shuffled from team to team every year. I wont use the "R" word but the the really good younger players end up leaving Nac ISD in elementary school in favor of some of the smaller schools. Girls Softball and Volleyball is where this shows up more than any other sport.

  13. Probably won’t happen, but Preston is actually a really goof fit for Kilgore. Would like to see it happen just so I could see that Kilgore D. Teams in y’all’s district and in R3 would have a tough time scoring on a Preston D where he was making all the personnel decisions. Just have to get somebody in there to run a variation of Surratt’s offense and develop a QB. Kilgore always has stud RB and WR (even though they don’t throw it to them much). Call me a homer, but I think Preston has Kilgore contending for state titles year one, and would have a chance to win one pretty quick. Especially with Argyle projected to go to 5a from what I have read. Those potential La Vega / Kilgore games would be the 2 best defensive coaches on 4a going head to head. That would be fun. Looking at what Don Hyde has done at LV would be a pretty good comparison to what Darren Preston could do at Kilgore. LV prolly has a few more athletes than Kilgore year in year out, but not many. Fun to talk about, but this is a long shot IMO. Especially with not being AD too.

  15. Carthage won state titles before Preston arrived and will continue after he is gone, as long as Surratt is the HC. Not diminishing what Preston has contributed at all, but this is Surratt’s program.

  17. Texas State Teachers Association described educators as“angry” at senate members over thisdecision. No kidding? Teachers gangs getting fired up and mad because they didn’t get “their“ money??? I wonder if they are angry because the home school kids and the private school kids were left out as well?

  18. The one thing that everybody seems to be forgetting is Daniel Swaim is acutally from Kilgore. So he has that going for him which is nice. First time he has actually had a leg up on Kerry Strong.

  19. Yep, because I have those I care about and who care about me in my life, I should hang my head in shame. Plus, there is that requirement for my job that I should defy, right?

  20. I don't think any top coaches will be applying knowing they would still be reporting to Woody. I don't think the pay is worth the headache especially if your not calling the shots in Kilgore. They need to figure out how to clone coach Mike Vallery and Kilgore will have their Surratt again. Even what ANTI said is not a bad way to go either now that a certain coach is gone from Kilgore it just might intrigue little Val.
