I think the split in 6A is inevitable. When is the only question The other sports seems to be a lightning rod for some it seems. Some grumbling in some areas about the disparity in enrollments between bottom enrollment 5A Div II schools and top 5A Div I schools in other sports. Jacksonville Vs Lufkin. sulphur Springs Vs Longview. But look at what SS has done this year in spite of being the smallest school in the district l... and it’s pretty spectacular. Not a good example for the argument. But apparently it’s an issue for some.

He screwed up by not complying. How hard is that ? He wrestles with the one cop that fumbles around with the cuffs after he jumps back in the car. What part of the attempted arrest did you not see ? Better training by parents might be the key. Don't fight with cops should be taught. I was in extreme emotional distress in Hallsville, TX, and I've already told the entire story, but I complied when the Deputy decided to tear my car apart.

Well I wouldn't compare the DFW area with East Texas in basketball...Lets just say there are a ton of transfers into these basketball powerhouses. But with that said, the SW Dallas County schools (Lancaster, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Duncanville) are loaded with talent But generally speaking, the enrollment gap doesn't matter as much outside of football, thats why I think the split is only really needed for football.

My response has nothing to do with the subject of the thread but this comment got me thinking about an old song that cracks me up. Yeah, I know, I'm somewhat demented...

This is one of the things I really hate about politics. We let the media highlight the extreme left and the extreme right and forget about everyone else in the middle who far outnumber the extreme on both sides. Take AOC for example. She makes news because (A) she is from New York and (B) she is the poster child for far left socialism. FOX News and liberal media dog pile on her so much that it makes the left literally dig in and go all in thinking "She is doing so well, look at how crazy the right gets. We should go with her policies." And don't get me wrong, we literally had our "far right" president last term. He, without a doubt, loved every conspiracy theory and chased many of them to his end. We have seen the effects of that with many right-wing republicans going all in on supporting anything and everything Trump did/does. There are many of us in the middle that are on both sides that do not support rioting, hate new taxes, despise government spending, and can see the corruption from most of our elected government officials from the top of the government chain all the way down to the newly-elected, suddenly rich congressman/woman. Use some common sense and fight all of the corruption!

Oh....without a doubt it can matter. Witnessed it myself with Marshall. Dropping out of the largest classification was absolutely the best thing to happen to us. Sure we had great success at times. But we struggled at times too. It was definitely more hit or miss. Since dropping in 2002 we’ve had two title game appearances, four region semi appearances (six if you count those title years), multiple district championships, and only a handful of seasons with no playoffs. Been a good move for us overall. But not automatic. We’ve had some struggle seasons too.... 1-2 of them horrific.

Top 5...? Wow. But they can always up their level of recruiting. So yeah you may be right.

Just my opinion... I personally dont think they're too much worried about presplitting the other sports because honestly, enrollment has a far smaller effect on the other sports compared to what it may have on football. Whether a school has 3500 or 2000 students, they'll both have the same 13 kids suited on varsity basketball. There really wasnt a huge gap in talent when Tatum and Longview played, same bench depth.

And fleeing( statute 609.487 FELONY). So Mr. Wight had a FELONY WARRANT(for fleeing) and committed ANOTHER FELONY trying to flee again...NOT A LAW ABIDING CITIZEN!!!!!!! Iv'e been stopped numerous times for license plate lights not working....I wasn't shot...I didn't have any warrants and didn't try to run either...we either allow LAWS to be enforced, how ever minor they seem....or we don't...Maybe SloJoe can sign a EO to not enforce laws...that would fix everything
