Every team in a conference cannot be good at the same time. Oklahoma State, Baylor, TCU, and Texas Tech will not all be good at the same time. Someone has to win and lose. Just like Ole Miss, Miss State, and Arkansas can't all be good at the same time or Kentucky, Missouri, and South Carolina.

I look at the numbers the other day....and MP won't be the only school declining. To be honest, the only place in East Texas with any significant growth in the past 15 yrs or so is Tyler. South Tyler to be exact. But even with South Tyler growing so much, Lee population hasn't grown at the same rate, because the private and charter schools opening in Tyler area. Lee will likely be the only main stay in 6a for the next couple of realignment cycles. I can see some of the 5a Div.2 schools dropping to 4a soon. I think everybody else will either hold at what they have, or slightly decline over the next 10-15 yrs.

They went and plucked a guy from a state championship winning team that seems to have an outstanding culture. Henderson found a guy who has some athletic kids and not a great track record. Time will tell, but my money is on Kilgore over Henderson for the foreseeable future.

I would agree with that, to graduate with honors you would have to take Algebra 2, Eng 4, Physics, Chemistry, & Local Civics classes. Plus each student should have to do 10 hours of public service outside of the school each year to graduate to the next grade. Not helping some teacher clean the class room, but cleaning roads--outside, feeding the poor and homeless, spending time with law enforcement and other 1st responders. But that is just my wish list and opinion.
