If you take away 2 tipped passes that resulted in interceptions it was a very solid performance for a first time starter regardless of competition level. Jimbo didnt protect him. He could have easily just let the RBs carry the team because honestly A&M could have probably won this game without even attempting a pass. But instead he let haynes push the ball downfield. I think we even saw more vertical stuff by design than we saw under a senior mond. So don't let the stat line fool you. Go watch the game. King was fine and will be solid throughout the year.

Tough game for Celina if they are not at 100%. Argyle is basically an elite 5a DII team at this point. From the sound of it and watching some of their games, they are 2 deep at almost every position. That’s hard to complete with for teams with 4a DII enrollments. If I am a Celina fan I am hoping for a good game and a win, but I’m not too concerned if it’s a lopsided loss. Celina won’t see a team better than Argyle all year IMO.

All 8 of them came from the classification they were placed in by the UIL at the time based on enrollment. Did WOS always compete at the 4A level? What classification were they in 2013 when they lost in the playoffs to Carthage? So they had opportunity to play at the 3A level and didn't win a championship? Not wasting the time to remind you that the classifications changed when the UIL realigned every thing or these schools would still be 3A, as was mentioned before.

During Switzers days it was no holds barred. The football team could do anything they basically wanted and get away with it. Just ask Brian Bosworth. The only thing that kept him from playing was testing positive for steroids, and it wasn't the team that did the testing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Gladewater is 3A DI and Gilmer is 4A DII. As long as we are that close in classification, Gilmer and Gladewater should always play each other. That rivalry should always be alive if it can. I love and respect the Atlanta Rabbits (one of my favorite stadiums in East Texas), but we should not play them again until they get it together.
