Idk if anyone would want to hear this, but this is an interview of Mike Barber by WO guys about his time at WO, college, and some NFL. He talked some about Bum Phillips, Earl Campbell, and Eric Dickerson. Took place this past Friday before homecoming. He also spoke to the team and some of his former HS teammates and him were the honorary coin flip team before the game.4 points

I’ve been married long enough to know it’s hard to know when women are being serious or joking. I usually make the wrong assumption so decided to sit this one out.2 points

Come on, put your money where your mouth is and show some confidence in that defense yall are hanging your hat on. Truth is, I’m pushing this bet because it guarantees that you or DB will be gone for a month.2 points

You'll have fun watching that freshmen squad, especially that defense. Future D1 back Washington is dealing with injury as you know, but the offense will still be able to move the ball with Maverick Rowe Qbing. Just heads up, they'll play at Frazier MS Stadium, right beside Memorial.2 points

Tyler in coming riding a two game win streak against a north team that looking for there first win since week one. Don’t really know much about north, so maybe some north fans could chime in, but on paper Tyler should be the favorite, but Holmes hasn’t beat north the last two seasons so I’m pretty sure this is a big game for him but also it would boost a lot of confidence for a team that struggled last night against horn. Give me Tyler by 21 until I know more about north.1 point

I am not so confident...We barely beat Marshall and the playcalling against Bryant was suspect. I think LV has the potential to win both games going away but we are going to get their best effort. This should be telling on how we are growing...1 point

Was told to expect Tatum back this week, but we’ll see. Will be fun to see a little Wednesday sub varsity football for me here in DFW.1 point

Crazy athleticism. Yeah yeah, probably should've knocked it down, but still an amazing play. It's not Graham's fault our QB sucks.1 point

Shots fired! C&C about to show up and give you the riot act. . In all seriousness it is an excellent addition to one of the nicest 3A stadiums I have been to. Heck it’s nicer than most 4A setups.1 point

Meh, I don't buy that... there were plenty of missed or bad calls on both sides. Always are. Hell, on that last "TD" for Bryant there was a flagrant hold against one of our d-lineman that wasn't called and an obvious pushoff from the receiver. Also not called. It happens. Part of the game. If you're making the argument that there were a series of overt, totally one-sided calls that swung the game completely in Longview's favor... well, you've got your work cut out for you. Longview won. Period. Best of luck the rest of the way.1 point

Through 3 weeks I don’t think there is any team that is unbeatable. That makes for a fun season.1 point

Strength of schedule is big. White Oak is 3-1.....Malakoff is 1-3. Is White Oak better than Malakoff? Malakoff opponents were jacked. White Oak beat New Diana, Harleton, and Ore City and lost to Spring Hill. If Malakoff plays that schedule they are 4-0 and you'd have nothing to cry about. 4-0 without being tested and not gain anything from non-district. Starting to think you might not know much about football and how to get better at it lol. Tatum started out 0-4 once and lost in the state title game by 9. Strength of schedule.....put some respect on it.1 point

It’s hard to tell if the issue is him or the OC. I’m not sold on O’Brien yet. A lot of unanswered questions on offense.1 point

Its not Coach David's fault. It goes back 20 years. They seperated JH and HS athletics. Noone paid any attention to JH. The JH was like an inner city, unattached JH. PP has had some good teams since then because of the athletes they have had. Not because of the program. I hope he can change that { and might be trying now }1 point

Damn, Barry... I used to vote D, but I am a wiser man now. You are what is known as a”Yellow Dog Democrat” in that you would vote for a yellow dog if he were a Democrat; Voting for a party philosophy rather than a person who has common sense principles is clear proof of years of brainwashing. No doubt you gobbled up everything Lyndon put on your plate.1 point
-
You certainly could be right. PP was highly ranked in most preseason polls. I tend to give teams like this a bit of a chance to straighten things out in non-district games before sending them packing completely. Whitesboro has gone from not-ranked to in the polls. The gap has closed significantly and if the trend continues Whitesboro will probably remain in a similar position while PP may be long gone.1 point

I love the work you put into it. But, Gunter has seen Pilot Point and Whitesboro in succesive weeks. And there is now way Pilot Point should be rated ahead of Whitesboro1 point

I will throw a damn party when we fire nelson. And get a true head coach. That's literally all we need. Good game ef. We will always lose games were not supposed to like we do every single year with nelson at the helm. That's a fact.1 point
