  2. Lot of half truths and outright lies, especially about the jobs numbers ... the vast majority of the jobs he is claiming to have created had nothing to do with any of his policies, they were China Virus rehires and government jobs that produce nothing for the economy ... the inflation reduction act is a joke as inflation has done nothing but skyrocket until recently and prices have not come down .... groceries, gas, building materials, everything is higher now because of his inflation ... yet he is proud of the act that did exactly the opposite of it's title, like all dimturd acts ... most of the rest of this garbage stuff listed has had a negative effect on our economy and society as a whole .... the Misery Index has skyrocketed under Plugs ....

  3. I had that when it came out. The NFL Football game was the best. The plays that you could call on offense, and the alignments that your could call on defense were great compared to others. You weren't stuck with just one player that you could control, because all you had to do was press the number of the player and it would switch the control to that player. It was comparable to Tecmo Bowl and won many awards when it came out. Look at the hand controller in the deck, and you can see the numbers. They had a plastic sleeve go over the keypad, but you didn't need it. The Major League Baseball game was the same. You could change which fielder that you controlled. I could actually play the baseball game against myself. Of course my right hand always beat my left hand since I'm right handed. For Sports Games, Intellivision blew away Magnavox Odyssey, Atari, or Colecovision. All four were better than any computer at the time.

  9. Yes we should. I'm going to brag on Mrs EnjoyLife for a moment. In 2023 she read the Bible from cover to cover...from Genesis to Revelation. Took her until the evening of December 31st...but she got it done lol.

  12. My Dad never owned a credit card in his life, was a shrewd investor and accumulated land over his working years mostly without taking out large loans. Like me, he retired from the military and worked as a butcher until he retired at 65 and he raised cattle while he was working. He rarely bought anything he couldn't pay for without cash, except his mortgage which was a VA loan back in 1962 which was less than $80 bucks a month. He never made a lot of money during his working years. He lived primarily off his investments, cattle and timber operations. He did pretty well for himself. He taught me to handle my finances without getting into much debt. He taught me how to save and invest and he drilled down on the dangers of borrowing on the credit ... he taught me there are two kinds of people ,,, those who primarily pay interest and those who earn primarily interest. I guess my Dad's social security meant more in his day than it does in mine ... but he taught me to never rely on social security for retirement and I didn't. I taught my two sons what my Dad taught me and they both have done better than me financially. The key to retirement is saving and investment and the higher paying job during your working years the better. I was fortunate to make pretty good money and saved and/or invested from 15 - 24%, even higher for a few years, for most of my working years ... "after your tithe, pay yourself first, then live off the rest" ... my Dad's golden rule ... Social security is less than 20% of my wife and my retirement income. She worked for the federal government for 20 years and retired and worked a few years in the civilian sector as a HR director for a few years and retired in her mid 5o's .... I retired from the military and from BCBX of TX with two pretty good retirements .... I retired at 62 and I've just got out of the cattle business myself and am just going to cut hay and timber off my place and lease the pasture .... I have made over triple my working income the past 40 years with my investments ... we are also fortunate to have gas and oil revenue and a pipeline communications tower on our property that pays some .... just don't depend on social security for your retirement .... and stay out of credit card debt .... I quit working for the man long ago .... turned 70 in Jan and just got out of the hospital yesterday ... Baylor Scott and White/Azalea Orthopedics in Tyler with my 5th neck surgery .... I'm going to have to slow down, sell some equipment and stuff I don't need .... starting now ....

  14. I would have left Marshall High School when I worked there for Longview. It was not a great place to work when I was at Marshall. I hold no sentiment for Marshall ISD. It sucked to work there. I care about the success at Marshall HS, but I would have no problem or remorse working for a school that kicked their ### on the regular if it was a better work environment. The town, for the most part, sucks outside of ETBU. The people there are great, but I went to visit Marshall a few months ago to see my mother and sister, and I thought I would see some improvements. Basically, the only improvements to the town have happened at Marshall High School and East Texas Baptist University. Every other business looked like a swift 40 MPH wind could take down their building. I honestly wish my mom would just move. ***All the statements above are my personal opinions and feelings about the town itself. I don't doubt that people have tried to make an improvement to the town, but it doesn't show on the outside. I understand that this statement may disqualify me from ever working at Marshall ISD in the future, but if it does, that would just be a testament of the current administration trying to defend the actions of a really bad previous administration dating back almost 15 years ago.***

  15. I don't understand this from both sides. Fire the winningest coach in program history for a first time HC. I understand this guy is getting his first job and maybe that's all he wanted, but what stability are you giving your family? You are signing up to be ran off in 3 years max. If you don't do better than the guy that has 20% of the schools all time playoff appearances.

  17. The media mis-represented this entire event. The older gentleman clearly tried to provoke a reaction out of the HS student. Sandmann showed remarkable restraint by not taking the bait.

  20. I do agree the old boys that's got brains way out to the left field don't need even a small sidearm. I also like the rabbits I cook them like firehouse chicken with lots of smoke and tater salad, and w/ a side of poke salet.

  23. That’s true! A couple of questions about this one: 1. Did the kid move into the district with his family? 2. Is NS an open district that allows transfers outside district lines? 3. As you stated did The Woodlands AD sign off? The kids X page has him catching a pass announcing he is enrolled at NS, hhhmmm This one will be interesting!

  29. I'm assuming that you are a fan of the free market. If so, then why would you blame Biden for companies exporting oil to make a profit in the free market. If you want lower prices then maybe you should support a movement to make price gouging at the pump illegal seeing how these companies are making record profits. I know I know, you'd rather act like an expert on the intricacies of the oil industry so that you can blame Biden for something that he has no power over. Good job Colin.
