He over-reacted but for a good reason. Not just in this game but all across the league people are undercutting players in the air and somebody is going to get hurt big time. This had been building and it is not just a UH issue.

I was hoping for one more in our district somehow. I have no idea how we will pick up 4 predistrict games. smh

Looks like Astros will be much stronger in 2023 IF IF IF the SP holds up. The regular addition alone of Diaz elevates the offense tremendously while it is hard to imagine Pena & Abreau at 1st not having better years. Barring injuries only the starting pitchers can let this team fall. That is NOT a prediction of winning the West or getting to the ALCS again. Just the fact that on paper this should be a MUCH better team. IMO the only real need is a starter/long reliever inning eater to have available. Lot of innings lost with Maton/Stanyk/Nerris gone. I would have liked to have kept Maton personally.

Would have loved to see another starter. But Hader is next level. I would say he is prob the highest profile closer the Astros have had since Wagner

Ain’t buying it

Today another reminder why I quit caring about the Cowboys a couple of years ago.

Kinda excited about the unknowns this year. The last 5-6 years the Astros were clearly the best team in the AL West. Not so sure now.......which makes for an exciting season. I wasn't expecting a lot of moves, but can't deny being disappointed with no real arms added and no movement to extend Tucker. I think he is as good as gone already.

He's a good one. I graduated UH so I'm a Cougar fan as well as growing up a lifelong Texas fan. This kid is better than most people realize.

I think they made a good signing on a quality SWITCH HITTING backup catcher. Can’t wait to see Diaz play a full season.

I might agree with you about NEXT year. I was talking about an annual series. I would say PG would have beaten THS multiple times in the last 6-7 years

PG has elevated to pretty close to top status in 4A and Texas High pretty much a top 10-15 team in 5A Div II. I wish this would develop into a series for Texarkana. This game would not be like TX High vs ARK High. It would be very competitive. We played up in Division this year. Marshall plays Longview every year and 95% of the time you know how it will go. This would be MUCH more even. I don't get the argument that Texas High has nothing to gain and everything to lose. Games are getting harder & harder to find. Both teams point at the other and say they won't play us. Just make it happen already. It is PRESEASON games. It isn't going to ruin anybody's season.

I'm truly envious of true rivalries. Years ago Arkansas High felt that way. But even before they backed out of the forever tradition it had just cooled to the point it wasn't the same. We always know the biggest test in district is Marshall but honestly it doesn't feel like a rivalry at all. I miss that feeling.

I'd love to have a 8 team district so we don't have to scramble all over a 3 state area for games.

I don’t see where trading him makes sense. He would be a 1 year rental so will not bring TOP value. Might as well play him, TRY to resign, and at worst get a 1st round comp pick if he leaves I do want him to stay. But Tucker is the key to focus on
