  1. Yes, that’s my take, too. Hate to be technical, and with all due respect to @MattStepp and his list, you can’t compare a multiple game scenario like we have now to a single game matchup. With games before and after, there’s so many fans who stay there or wouldn’t even be there had it not been for their team they’re cheering for. It isn’t apples to apples.
  2. Single game record is 49,500, 1977, Texas Stadium…. Plano vs. PNG for the state championship. I was there, it was amazing. No game has ever come close to that attendance.
  3. He’s 68. 32 years as HC. Amazing career. Those reporters knew something or they wouldn’t have said that…. sideline guy seemed pretty chummy with him. He’s a winner.
  4. That coach for Brock is my new hero. What an amazing response after losing a heartbreaker.
  5. CH lost the flip is why, I would think ooops….. this was already commented on.
  6. Great season, Lindale! Especially after you were 4-4. Yes, they are very disciplined. Kilgore is just sooooo talented.
  7. This isn’t 2022 yet…. This is THE best historical site for Texas HS football I’ve ever see. Updates every year. https://www.texashighschoolfootballhistory.com/won-loss_records
  8. Watched online. What a game! Both teams just refused to go down. Man, Crandall had to get a scoop and score to beat us (JAX) in Week 3, 43-37 at Tomato Bowl. Their QB has really improved since our game. #7 is is still a beast, OU commit. Congratulations to Crandall, gritty win. Marshall will be a force under Alvarez. Good season Mavs.
  9. Legends 1630 South Jackson JVILLE Tx 75766 - awesome, burgers are the best Right down the street from Tomato Bowl, Commerce Street (main street through town) Commerce Street restaurant. Mariscos - 216 South Main JVILLE, TX 75766 - best Mexican food, authentic
  10. I didn’t say anything yesterday about people poopooing games moved, they are namby pamby, etc…. What do you all think now? I know someone who just lost their home an hour ago to a tornado. Always, always err on the side of safety especially when kids are on busses traveling. I’m old school, too, but the arguments to play tonight did not make sense to me.
  11. Rusk v Gilmer Friday at TMF Rose in Tyler
  12. Hmmmmm, I don't remember when that was . . . it wasn't 2009 because that was the 56-55 2OT thriller won by JAX at Henderson.
  13. Hahaha, my mind didn't even go there . . .
  14. The Pride Game Finale 85th meeting Jacksonville at Henderson Thursday, November 3, 7pm kickoff
  15. Yeah, it seemed like all I talked about last night. But our DLine played great, as good as they could play. I was proud of them. Yeah, @LetsGoEagles#30 is a 10th grader. I predict he could be defensive MVP of district as a senior. He’s special. Good luck to Lindale against Vidor. Y’all are a very physical offensive team. Defensively, y’all did great sliding down the line of scrimmage and not giving up ground. That will help against a slot T. Go win!!!
  16. Yes, JAX's bye week was the deal breaker, I get that from Lindale's standpoint. Hate that because it's Senior Night, 100+ kids supposed to be introduced . . . so the request to change wasn't for football; it can be played in the rain . . . it was all about the festivities possibly getting wiped out.
  17. Hey Lindale fans, if you’re dodging the rain Friday, you can watch our live stream right here: https://youtube.com/c/JHSSports
  18. Interesting! I attended North Garland and played for them 9th and 10th grade before moving to Jacksonville in middle of 10th grade year. I watched them as well. Billy Don Hooks was one of the leading rushers in the state for North Garland in 1972. He was a beast. My sister was in the first graduating class for NG in 1973. Small world.
