And "good" is few and far between. Which is quite unfortunate. The amount of slappies in the profession is rather disheartening. And I was not hating on your career choice, but if you are not in the profession, you cannot comment whether my comment was correct or not.
-
That wasn't meant to be disrespectful. But it is just the nature of the beast. Coaches do not spend 30 years at one place like my father in law did and that's due to a multitude of reasons. The secret is to get your resignation in before they take your name to the board to non-renew ya.
-
Not being sarcastic at all. But it's quite obvious you are not, nor ever have been, a coach.
-
90% of coaches have been "relieved from duties". In fact, I'd go so far as to say these days 99% have. That's just how the business works. If everyone that has been let go checks yes on the "have you been non-renewed" box on the application, there would be no profession.

Shawn Brown resigns as AD/Head Football Coach at Grapeland...
beastmode11 replied to Smoaky's topic in High School Sports
Makes sense, his son would be a freshman this next year I believe.... I don't mean to bash people. It's not my M.O. but the way the kids/staff were treated under that regime was unacceptable. -

Mahaffey gets HFC, big Earp DC, little Earp head boy's bball. The first year Brown brought numbers up but after kids got tired of him verbally chastising them on a daily basis it dropped off again. I hope these people do the kids justice. -

C'mon man. That makes wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much sense to allow in education,...
-
Not every school decides to give the tests on the same day. And some don't even make that decision as to which day until a few weeks before. And if it's not communicated properly (which nothing in education is) then you'll have some of these issues.
-
It just depends on what days the district decides to administer the test. The window to get them all done is May 4-8

They have good stock up there. Look at their basketball programs, their volleyball program (that we beat for the championship this year ;)) Great coaches, hard work. That equals great program. Winning breeds winning. It has a long lasting tradition of success, that spills over into the whole athletic program.

Kids in Different Varsity Sports at Same Time
beastmode11 replied to Foreverfan's topic in High School Sports
Both our volleyball and football teams are very successful. Volleyball more so than football. Shouldn't it be about supporting YOUR kid rather than anything else? We do not arrange game times differently (besides homecoming) to accommodate parents seeing multiple games. Parents should be proud they have children as active as they are, and involved in all these extracurricular activities. But that's just my opinion. No bad vibes here -
Now being played at Lindale. Same time.
