Telvin is the better athelete, HANDS DOWN. The only thing that Adam brings to the table is that he can read defenses better. Telvin will learn that with more playing time. There will be no more pressure on either QB, because up until this year neither one had a varsity start. As far as the fumbles, I did state that everyone has been fumbling the ball. And I do go to the games...so dont talk to me about 100 yards passing in a half. I could throw a screen pass, or a pass in the flats and watch Jamal & Boo run for the other 50-60 yards. Im not trying to discredit Adam, nor am I trying to start a controversy. But this is a sports talk website, and I will voice "MY" opinion. It just so happens that alot of people agree with me. I have also stated, more than once, that We have a knowledgeable coaching staff, who I feel will make the right decision. Once again, its just my opinion. I didnt say who was the better athlete. And I'm not trying to defend adam or telvin. But reading defense is a pretty major part in being QB dont you think?, We won the game and thats all that matters to me I really dont care whose a QB, You can put Todd Lebrun at QB as long as we win thats all that matters. Yes! Yes. Just as long as they win.

The truth about Kilgore, is the truth everywhere. Sooner or later you cant reload, you have to rebuild. I think in Kilgores cas, that is isnt a very long rebuilding process..maybe just this year. But they have been spoiled with all of these huge athletic o-linemen, and all the d1 defensive recruits. No, the well isnt dry, but it could use a little rain.

WR #21 looked good against Overton. But Mt. Enterprise is obviuosly better than everyone thought. I think WR is due for a 2 win season. The Raiders win a close one.

Most of Overton's fans arent happy with the QB situation but heres my take on it Adam knows the offense better than anybody on the team. Yea you can put the blame on Adam for the snaps or you can put it on the center for not getting the ball to him. Why force Telvin at QB and putting alot pressure on a fresh. so quick, Let the offense come to him and everything will be fine. Just lay off of him for a while and lets get pass the first couple of games to past judgement on somebody. Overtons QB situation keeps games alot closer than the should be. They could've iced the game in the 4th Qtr against WR, but instead they lost three balls on fumbled snaps. Maybe the center gets the blame here. I just hope the get it fixed. BTW, EVERYONE has been fumbling the ball.

Yes. They'll be OK. But they still need to make some position changes. Any "knowlegeable fan" who saw the game tonight could agree with that. Sure, I probably overstated the fact about the DBs not reading pass plays, but they gave up some receptions that should have easily been defended. But I'll stick to my statement about being scared of contact. A couple of those guys just arent cut out f/ defense. Also, if you read some of my previous statements, you'll see where I commented that Overton could definately lose this game. UH is a stout team, but I feel Overton should have won. And BTW, they lost at least five fumbles. 2 on KO returns, 2 on bad snaps, 1 by a RB.

Union Hill wins 32-28. Not to discredit UH, but our defense #@$*!% stinks. DBs cant read pass, and safety's are scared of contact. Need more beef at LB, & QB situation still seems to be undecided. Need some changes made. Had some bright spots in the running game. But probably what lost the game was the fumbles. I think we lost 4 or 5, and two of those were on KO returns. Lots of unhappy fans in O'town. But Im confident we can turn it around. Weve got a good coaching staff. Besides, someone had to lose.

WE here in Overton were told that the QB at Brookhill Acadamy was a Wr at Tenaha last year. Any truth to it.

From 82-85 Groveton was 56-6-1. Went 5 and 5 in 86, but responded from 87-90 by going 56-2-2. They won 115 games in the 80's, and had 2 losing seasons during that stretch. They also posted 6 undefeated regular season seasons, twice scored over 700 points in a season, had a 32 game win streak, and played in FIVE state championship games...winning three. They've set the bar high, can the Eagles reach it?

I look for Thompson and Russell (Overton) to both post 80-90 yards.

They lost alot of players, but because of their rotations...they didnt lose alot of experience. And the running back has returned. BTW, both running backs were both state powerlifting champs in their weight division. Union Hill is no weak team. If Overton wins, it will be a squeeker.

Rodney Thomas and Groveton in the 90's. Greer is good, but you had to see Thomas run. Check the stats. 8000 yards in THREE years!!
