We still live in the school district. You know as well as me that you can't give 17 years of your life to a school/community and not "think" about it. If the situation were right, I would. I just wish everyone that came through Crockett could have as much fun as WE did when Monte Jack was there. It was a great wave to ride. Hopefully Coach Thompson can get some of that sparkle back to the bulldogs. He is great guy and I think he will be an excellent fit in Crockett. He grew up wearing ROYAL BLUE, so it should fit. For now, I'm in Lovelady not only because it's a great school district, but the community has been beyond supportive of me and my family. This is my 8th year here and it feels like my first. Plus I get to work with my friends, so that makes it extra special. If only my oldest son(Keith Ellis) was here, it would be PERFECT.

Okay, that was strictly an attempt at humor. Yesterday, one of your former team mates stopped by to say hello. I couldn't believe it because TP and I were just talking about him. You remember....that guy that got his teeth knocked out in NEWTON. First time we had seen him in 20+ years. To answer your question, I'm an assistant in football. I coach receivers(we don't throw the ball), secondary, and special teams. I'm the head boys basketball coach and a part time heckler in baseball season. When I'm not coaching, I teach Algebra. On top of that, I coach the UIL number sense team. We're heading to Austin in a couple of weeks for the Academic state meet. I do have a STATE CHAMPION on that team.
