  1. Congratulations to Gorman. Good luck the rest of the way.
  2. I wish Brookhill was 100% health as well as Gorman. That way there would be no excuses....Lets play!!!!!!!! This is going to be a hard hitting game. Brookhill boys are fired up and ready to play.
  3. Weather is looking horrible for the game. 90% chance of rain. That could make a big difference. Who can pound the rock? We shall see.
  4. Is there any Gorman fans on smoaky that can add something?
  5. T.K. Gorman Vs Brookhill. Brookhill won the first meeting in district play. Throw all that away, this is playoffs and a rival game. What are your thoughts on this game. Injury bug has bit Brookhill pretty bad. One of East Texas best receiver is out and B.H. is down to the 3rd or 4th string running back. Along with a few other key injuries. I don't know the health situation at Gorman. This game will be played at West Rusk, not a big named flashy playoff spot but I understand it is a real nice stadium. Close for both teams so travel will not be a factor. I like Brookhill's toughness on both sides of the ball. Not the biggest kids but may be some of the hardest players. Gorman has been on a roll lately knocking off some good teams on the way. I will take Brookhill (im a homer) by 10. The defensive stands on the goal line B.H. put up last week showed they have no quit in them. Looking forward to a great game. Either way East Texas will have a team in the final 4.
  6. It was a nail biter for sure. The Gorman game is a rival game. I suspect both teams will be amped up. Looking forward to a barn burner.
  7. I would like to see Gorman beat Grace because of the home playoff game it would provide Brookhill. I think that it is possible but probably wont happen. Grace is a strong team. But go CRU.
  8. My take on the game. Brookhill dominated the 1st half. Played physical and I think shocked Gorman a little. Gorman went in at half and came out and played better football. Just a little to late to catch up. The officials were terrible but they were not one sided. Gormans kids played really hard the whole game and the coaches had valid arguments when they acted like they did. The personal fouls was a case of emotions taking over and not thinking when they were down. Some of the fans in the stands were not so nice and did whine and gripe about every call. I am pulling for Gorman to upset Grace and that would put Brookhill back at the top of the District. It will be a big chore so I hope Gorman comes out swinging. Congrats to the Guard and Go Cru when you play Grace.
  9. Gorman is 6-0 coming into this important game. Brookhill is coming off of a blowout loss to Grace. Can the Guard bounce back or will they fall to the much improved Crusaders. Any thoughts.
  10. Good observation AverageGuy.
  11. Game was tied 14-14 at half. Grace came out after half fired up, Brookhill came out flat. Threw some pics, fumbles, lost 2 pooch kickoffs and if got out of hand quick. Injury bug has struck Brookhill pretty hard lately. Gorman will win this week if Brookhill does not clean it up. Hats off to Grace, they played a great game. Time for the Guard to refocus. I think they got complacent after knocking off pre-season favorite Dallas Christian. There are 4 teams in this district that have a chance to go along way. Dallas Christian, Gorman (much improved over the last few year), Grace, and Brookhill. Look forward to seeing how the district pans out.
  12. Is there not any Grace fans on smoaky?
