  1. I never post assumptions..
  2. Frankston doesn't even have a coach..In talking to all the current coaches(and former Frankston coach) most picked Frankston 6-7. The also had EF/Arp 1-2..
  3. Yea, he has grown 3-4 inches since BB season, kid is a natural ath, has looked great at WR and CB according to coaches..
  4. I was in EF Friday, saw both RB's working out on the field, Kyree Ratliffe and Jakobe Owens. 2 D-1 RB's and they look unreal.. Owens looks better that he did before his injury last year against Frankston, Coach Ford said he was released 100% by his Dr's about a month ago. Ratliffe,he said has lost about 10 lbs and has really taken off in their offseason program, he is about 219 . Talked to Ratliffe's dad and they are happy as can be in EF and he is making it his home, can't wait to see bro #2 this year at WR and dad can't wait until brother #3 comes along on JV next year as a freshman. Ford said about 50 schools have been by this spring to see those 2 along with the Mathews kid..
  5. You said you talked to the West kids dad and he was at Arp, when he was at Chapel Hill... either you are not talking to dads, or the dads do not know where their kids are..
  6. why edit this post, you said he would be there in the fall, then when wrong, edited your post?
  7. According to the recruiting coach at Henderson St, he sat with the young man at Chapel Hill High School last Wed(5/13) named Jeremy West, that had been at Arp the week before. Said he sat there with the HC of Chapel Hill and the young man and talked recruiting.. Wish the young man good luck, but the recruiting coach(Matt Gordon) seemed pretty sure of whom he just had spent time with. I saw the young man in Tyler 2 days before (that Sunday)at the ETSN combine dresses in Arp shorts in T-Shirt so I was very surprised when coach Gordon told me that. He reached in his file and pulled out the kids photo and transcript, so I have a hard time thinking he was confused on who he was talking about.. Guess we will find out in the fall..
  8. 65 now.. Article about why he took this job.. They were 1-9 before he got there, he went 9-3 this past year his first there. Dennis Parker had no desire to coach football anymore when he resigned four years ago as head coach of Texas Lutheran University. “I was tickled to death to be retired,” said Parker, who also was a head coach at North Texas and part of two high school staffs that won Texas state championships. In 1983, he was the offensive coordinator for Texas state champion Converse Judson. In 1990, he led Marshall to a Texas state championship as head coach. Now, Parker has come out of retirement to try and deliver Idabel from the abyss. He’s doing it for just one reason. “It’s my hometown,” Parker said. Parker, a 1968 graduate of Idabel High School, was born in raised there. At age 64, he’s returned to his hometown to try and revive a program that hasn’t had a winning season since 2006. Idabel has just won three games the past two seasons, including going 1-9 last year. Parker said his brother, Larry, who lives in Idabel, persuaded him to return and take the job. “Idabel is a special place,” Parker said. “I was here for 18 years with five brothers. We had such great memories. We were good in the ‘60s when I was here. Hopefully, we are going to get Idabel back at the top of the food chain. “I think I can build an athletic program across the board and leave a legacy.”
  9. Interesting tidbits. Idabell, OK is coached by former Marshall HC Dennis Parker.. Interesting that this is also the 25th anniversary of Parker coaching Marshall to the state title in 1990. Also, Marshall HC Clint Harper's dad Sid was a asst on that 1990 team. Also, Elysian Fields HC Scott Ford played for Parker at Marshall and UNT and started his coaching career as a student asst coach at North Texas under Parker and as a asst at Cleburne under Parker.

  11. I know Elysian Fields plays Pine Tree at 8:30 and are in the same pool as Daingerfield and Chapel Hill.
  12. Congrats, glad he finally got that score. Big for him and his future.
