  1. TOP TEN TIMES 1. Daren McFadden - 4.27 2. Chris Johnson - 4.29 3. Anthony Alridge - 4.33 4. Jamaal Charles - 4.36 5. Chad Simpson - 4.37 6. Rashard Mendenhall - 4.37 7. Kevin Smith - 4.43 8. Jonathan Stewart - 4.44 9. Ray Rice - 4.44 10. Steve Slaton - 4.44
  2. 2nd Round: McFadden - 4.33 Charles - 4:39 Steve Slaton - 4.44 Jonathan Stewart - 4.44 (235 lbs. WOW) Ray Rice (Rutgers) hurt hamstring and will not run 2nd time
  3. Darren McFadden just ran a 4.27 forty. :notworthy: Jamaal Charles is 2nd fastest with a 4.36. :happy65: All the running backs have one more time to run. The fastest time for a running back last year was Adrian Peterson's 4.4 flat
  4. The Bobcats will play Highland Park at 7:30 on Saturday at UT-Tyler
  5. Hallsville won by 3 in OT. 68-65 I believe. The Bobcats were up by 3 with 6 seconds to go in regulation but #4 for MP hit a clutch 3 in the corner right before time expired to send it to OT. Hallsville plays Highland Park at UT-Tyler on either Friday or Saturday. They are flipping a coin to decide what day they will play.
  6. Yeah they are still playing. They play June 30 - July 2 at Ameriquest in Arlington. I will more than likely go watch at least one of the 3 games. :texrangers:
  7. Rangers just hit 3 HRs and scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 3rd to make it 7-2. Teixeira and Nevin his HRs on back-to-back pitches and then Mench hit one after Blalock singled. Blalock also went yad in the 2nd. It is looking like Koronka will be the first Ranger to reach 3 wins this season. He is proving to be a good acquisition for them.
  8. Actually....T.I. has the newest released CD...just came out a few weeks ago.
  9. He is their 3rd second baseman. Kinsler and DeRosa are both injured so he is filling in while they are out. DeRosa hasn't played very much at all this year and was recently put on the DL. Jimenez has been with the Reds for the past 3 years before this season. He is a switch hitter and has been in the league for 7 years.
  10. Well i spoke too soon...Teixeira leads off the 4th with a solo HR. Rangers up 2-1. They score 4 more runs in the 4th on an infield single by Laird that scored Blalock from 3rd and a triple by Gary Matthews Jr w/the bases loaded that cleared the bases. Now Vlad just hit a single. That gives him a 39 game hit streak against the Rangers if i'm not mistaken.
  11. Not very long. Figgins triples and then Cabrera scores him on a ground out to Blalock. Tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 3rd. Garret Anderson is up now w/2 outs.

  13. texasrangers.com: ARLINGTON -- Rick Bauer appears to be first in line to grab the vacant spot in the Rangers starting rotation. The 29-year-old right-hander, whose last Major League start was with Baltimore in 2004, is expected to get his chance to stake a claim to the spot that opened when R.A. Dickey was sent to Triple-A Oklahoma on Friday. Manager Buck Showalter said Bauer is likely to pitch Tuesday at Anaheim, but was not quite ready to make a final decision. Bauer was able to sit out Sunday afternoon's game against Detroit, as starter Vicente Padilla made it through six innings of a 5-3 victory. But Showalter said there is still a slim chance that Bauer might be needed in relief against the Angels on Monday, which would leave him unavailable for Tuesday. The health of outfielder Mark DeRosa also factors into the decision. If DeRosa, who sprained his ankle on Thursday, has to go on the disabled list, the Rangers will be able to bring Robinson Tejeda or John Rheinecker up from Oklahoma to take his place, and either could start Tuesday. Showalter said DeRosa's ankle is improving, and he now seems unlikely to go on the DL. Bauer, who threw 49 pitches in a three-inning stint Friday, predictably said he is ready to go Tuesday if the start is given to him. "Oh, my God, I hope it is," he said, "because I'm pumped. I definitely want the chance to start in this league again. I've got my fingers crossed, but if not, I won't be severely disappointed by any means." Bauer has played parts of five seasons in the Majors. He is 8-13 with a 4.58 ERA in 240 innings and is 1-6 with a 4.42 ERA in nine career starts. And while the Rangers haven't said Tuesday's start is an audition for a permanent spot in the rotation, Bauer is treating it as one. "I would think it is," he said. "If I go out and throw quality innings and keep the team in the game with a legitimate chance of winning, I don't see why I wouldn't get another chance, and then we'll see where it goes from there. "But I don't want to get ahead of myself. I just play it day by day, and whatever role they throw at me, I'll do the best I can." Young gun: Ian Kinsler's hot start has been a shock to many, but not to the rookie second baseman. In his Major League debut this season, Kinsler is hitting .444 with a .545 on-base percentage after going 2-for-4 with a double and RBI Sunday. "It doesn't really surprise me," he said. "I kind of expected it from myself. I think anyone who plays this game kind of expects it from themselves. If you don't, this game can be a tough thing. It's only a few games, but I'd rather be where I'm at than hitting a .100 or .080. We'll see how long we can keep it going." While nobody expects Kinsler to keep up his current pace, Showalter said he doesn't think the 23-year-old will fall on his face. "He gives himself a chance to be as good as he's capable of being," Showalter said. "He has a lot of energy and a lot of passion. I think someone said a lot of the scouts were talking about him being a surprise or something, just because you don't get him at 3.8 seconds down the line and he hasn't hit 45 home runs and appeared on all the Baseball America lists. ... He's a baseball player. He brings a lot of intangibles." One of those is a level head, which, Kinsler said, has kept him from being overwhelmed by his new big-league surroundings. "You can get caught up in it a little bit," he explained. "I'm just trying to stay grounded and keep my head down. Just performing is what my goal is this year, just try to perform and prove I belong here. "I expected a little bit of a change, and there was. Guys are better here, that's the bottom line. They're bigger and stronger and faster, and you've got to make the adjustment. If you make the adjustment fast enough, people think there was no adjustment for you. The faster you learn, the better you look as a player." No change: Despite the Rangers' slow start, new general manager Jon Daniels said there is no urgency to make any moves to right the ship. "It's so early, way too early to make evaluations or draw conclusions," he said. "I've been encouraged by a lot with this club. We've outhit our opponent. Now it's just a matter of putting things together, and that's going to happen. "There's always a need for another bat, another starter and another power arm in the 'pen. But that's all 30 teams. We'd all like to improve, including us. But I want to give this team a chance to jell, this group of 25 guys a chance to come together, to provide a little stability. I'm confident in this group, that we'll get what we need. As I said this offseason, is it the perfect roster? No, but I'm not sure that's reality. This is certainly a group I believe in." Hopefully Bauer won't pull an R.A. Dickey and give up a HR to almost everyone on the team.
  14. The leadoff hitter for Cuba, Paret, hit a solo HR. 4-1 Japan, bottom of the 1st. Cuba went through 3 pitchers in the top of the 1st. They had a combined pitch count of 44 pitches.
  15. Of course USA will win and advance to the next round.
