  1. Pittsburg makes no sense to me. Tatum 49 - Pitt 21 Atlanta 53 - Tatum 35 Pitt 56 - Atlanta 20 Atlanta 14 - PG 7 PG 31 - Pitt 18 WHY?!?! To me, which I am biased, the game of the week will be in Atlanta. Reasons why I think so: Gilmer has beaten Atlanta the past 2 years in the qtr finals. This is Atlanta's last shot at the playoffs (unless Pitt decides to play, or PG gives up), and I think the players will realize that. A lot of these players for Atlanta are 3 year starters, so they have had this game circled since December of last year. The only way Atlanta makes this a game is if they can manage to get their offense going, which has been a problem since they played Tatum. They must find a way to move the ball. As great as Atlanta's defense is, you can only hold Gilmer off for so long. Gilmer knows how to win, that's the simple fact. Even in the Carthage game they found a way to get back in it.
  2. You know it! I'm huge a huge Pitt and Spring Hill supporter this week haha.
  3. You're not lieing. We really have a good squad, and a great defense. Our offense just continues to fall on it's face week in, and week out though since we played Tatum. I'm confident McClure can come up with SOMETHING/ANYTHING to make this offense move the ball by Friday. If not, this could be the first year he hasn't led Atlanta to the playoffs, with one of probably the top 2 talented squads he's had. Just so inconsistent.
  4. Yea pretty much. I mean, if Pitt beats GW or Gilmer, and PG loses to GW, we're in as well. Or if PG loses to GW and SH. Basically, we need to have a 2 way tie for 4th with PG. We lose out if it's a 3 way tie with Pitt, PG, and Atlanta (more likely). Which I'm not selling out Pitt. When they come together, they are tough. They're a worse hot and cold team than even we are, they where just hot when it counted. A lot riding on this game Friday. The entire community has been very supportive of the Rabbits this week, and I know these boys want this win in the worst way. A lot of these players are 3 year starters, so they've been put down in the qtrs by Gilmer their Soph and JR years. I know that the SR's will be playing with a special purpose, even talking to some of them all season long, they've had this game circled since December of last year. Bring on the Buckeyes!!
  5. Not undefeated, but they are good. QB has a pretty good arm for a 7th grader.
  6. Look, y'all can take this back to the Atlanta/Gilmer thread. It's struggling.
  7. Cal West Virginia Florida Baylor Washington Texas Tech Wisconsin Auburn Clemson Arizona *Tiebreaker: Lamar Jackson total yards (passing and rushing) vs Virginia - 503
  8. Nevermind. Had Gilmer's offensive stats from this and last year but it didn't post correctly, and I'm not doing all that work again lol.
  9. I don't want to talk about it. But I will say this... Last year's 25-16 final score was directly due to the Atlanta defensive effort. Atlanta's offense couldn't do anything last year, and Demarco ate our lunch at the end of the game. They just kept letting him pound the rock. We have all but a couple of kids coming back from that defensive squad, so maybe we can slow this Gilmer passing game down, maybe force a few turnovers. A lot of these kids have been starting for 3 years. Both our linebackers that ran back picks last year are back. Also our safety that played in 2014 has had this game circled since week 1. But the offense has to show up. Last year they were there, but the Gilmer defense just played great. Hopefully we can figure out how to move the ball. I don't know if I can take it if we don't lol. Averaging 13.7 points over our last 3 games is just not going to cut it against Gilmer. If we don't do it this year, I don't think we will do it next year. We have a lot of talent graduating this year. I sure hate to see some of them go to.
  10. Oh how I wish we could give another thumpin' like 2003. We've taken more than our fair share since then. Surely it will come around some day...
  11. Ok. It was my fault, because I knew that it would draw as must criticism as it did, so I should have just kept it to myself. I don't know why it surprised me to get the reactions that it got, I should have known better. Moving on to next weeks thread. Ridicule my comments all you like, just don't bring it to week 10.
  12. Look man, I'm trying my hardest to let it go and move on. I have my reasoning for saying what I said. Time to move on the week 10. Nothing will change what happened last Friday night.
  13. Yep. This game means a lot to the Rabbits, especially he seniors. 2 straight seasons ended in the qtr finals to the Buckeyes, on top of that even, this is the last meaningful game of the season for the Rabbs unless they win. I know these seniors want it bad, and they have their best chance Friday in my opinion. I'm just worried about our offense man. Since district started, they've just fallen on their face, and can't find a way to move.
  14. Yep, but Atl will likely slip into the #5 spot unless they win Friday.
  15. Nah y'all keep fighting here. Makes it less difficult for me to keeps the thread alive. Y'all are doing a marvelous job, and it's quite entertaining.
  16. He didn't finish the game. I will ask around to see how he's feeling.
  17. Yea about that... Either way, we have a lady that photographs that was on the goal line. If there is a clear view we can see, it will show up.
  18. Coach Berry told ETSN that Atlanta had the best defense the Bears had faced. Much respect for that guy. On another note, can any Gladewater fans tell me exactly how big #44 is?
  19. Right. Sackem, when as ATL not had balanced refs? Please do tell.
  20. Glad to know all if a sudden because PG swapped to wing-t, they're now a football powerhouse. Y'all said the same nonsense last year.
