Beckville (1-3) at Elysian Fields (3-0)

One positive thing I noticed was there seemed to be some great sportsmanship on the field on both sides of the ball. I always like to see that no matter who wins! Congrats EF and good luck with West Rusk! -

Think it's more of a public service announcement. Some stadiums have home and visitors divided so if EF is that way, there would be no way to use a restroom. Many of us have never been there but I can assure you we won't mind walking around to the home side to pee! -
Glad to see everybody making nice now. Hometown pride ignites much passion but we are the adults and need to set a good example for these high school athletes regardless of who they play for. JMO.

How do you think this one will go?

Beckville is highly underestimated. That's ok because we like it that way.

First district game. Who's your pick?

Thoughts?

Sorry for the boys but great season. I was at a Shelbyville game in Bullard and was appalled by things being yelled out of the crowd. Cheering injuries and just being mean when you consider these are teen boys. I'm glad to see they don't represent all Shelbyville fans and would venture to guess these are the same ones not sticking around to applaud these young men, However it was a very large percentage of people doing those things. We left in disbelief. Think you're on the right track telling them not to come back. That sort of thing really shows a lack of sportsmanship by the fans and affects the respect given to the boys that work so hard to earn it. Again GREAT season and those boys should hold their heads high. Congrats to Lovelady on the win and go bring it home!

We take a lot of pride around here in the class that is bred into us by parents, teachers, and coaches. Appreciate the kind words and for the record, I thought Lovelady played a good clean game and saw a lot of sportsmanship on the field from both sides. I do hate that the officiating wasn't up to what it could have been but I do agree it was more than the one call and affected both sides. Good, hard fought ball game and came down to the last play. Makes for an exciting game. The only thing that could have been better for me was if that receiver hadn't came down with that ball! I will be rooting for y'all Friday against Shelbyville. Think they may be underestimating y'all a little bit.
