They better have someone on the mound who can mix up timing and locate pitches. Beckville is one of the best all around hitting teams in the region.

The kid from Big Sandy has to be the best sophomore in east Texas. Josiah Johnson. District MVP last year as a freshman and averaging 28 a game this year. Probably a safe bet to say he is one of the top players in ET from 3A down

Playing against speed is not new for Diana. We returned 9 starters on both sides of the ball that just spent the last 2 years playing against Waskom, Arp, EF, West Rusk, Winona, Frankston...not to mention a non district schedule that included Jefferson and Garrison to name a couple, and I know those games didn't go our way, but this 2016 team is improving and we still have many obstacles that are new to us. Facing speed is not one of them.

60-28 final. So much for that lack of speed and weak o line.

Coach Mayfield is good dude. Coaching against him, I can tell you his kids play the game the right way.

As a coach, for the most part, it's not tough to hear out complaints and address concerns. When people start making things up like false stats or false information to take back to their "hey look at me" group, then it starts getting a little hairy. I worked for Coach Ratliff for 2 years. He is a great guy to work for. Took excellent care of his staff. Great coach and even better man.
