  1. Impressive wins this weekend all the way around. District 9 and 10 flexed the muscle once again. Things are gonna get real interesting from here on out. Whitney looks to be for real, very impressed by their win over Franklin
  2. Yes, 7 turnovers is what I counted. It was just mishap after mishap for us.
  3. We couldn’t get out of our own way last night. You simply can’t turn the ball over that many times and expect to compete with a team like Grandview.
  4. Turnovers completely killed our chances to keep things close with you guys. Hats off to yalls kids and staff though, y’all were the better team tonight without a doubt. Good luck to y’all going forward, I know y’all will represent our region well.
  5. Maybe next season will be the year for us to get things rollin again and make a deep playoff run. Drawing GV in the bi-district round for the 2nd straight year has been brutal. Those kids over there are well coached and ranked #2 in the state right now for a reason. The Tigers will still have plenty of offensive talent returning next season, my main concern for us will be mostly on the defensive side of the ball.
  6. If anything, Yoe’s defense found their identity against Rockdale’s offense in the Bell game. I don’t think they’ll let West’s offense gash them completely. But hey, I’ve been wrong before.
  7. Rematch for us. It really depends on which Rockdale team shows up in this game. One heck of a matchup for a first round playoff game. Gut check time, Tigers.
  8. Curious as to who blocked for him during that title run?
  9. Seems to me like Rockdale has lost the swagger and attitude this rivalry brings. This season has shifted from us and its a shame with the amount of talent this team has. The defense has had its kinks here and there but I expected much more from this Tiger offense than just 3 points scored in a game of this caliber. It felt like the Tigers offense didn’t even want to be on the field Friday night. Something has to give and I hope the staff and these boys figure it out quickly moving forward. Hats off to Cameron, their staff had a perfect game plan and their boys executed it perfectly, especially defensively. Good luck to yall going forward.
  10. I can live with this ranking. Always respectable coming from Yoe09. My Tigers return quite a bit of skilled position players on offense, but OL and DL will be our biggest concern this upcoming season.
  11. That Whittington kid is a man among boys out there. Hope to see him succeed at the next level. Congrats Cuero
  12. Congrats Grandview, it was fun keeping up with this bunch throughout the postseason. That staff and those players had a special thing going for ‘em, and with how young this Zebra team was it won’t surprise me if we see them make another push for state next year.
  13. This is a tough one for me to predict. Both teams are battle tested and deserve to be playing on this stage. For Malakoff, it was only a matter of time before we witnessed them playing in the state game. For Grandview, what a tough, gritty group of kids who quickly became hard not to pull for on their run. Franklin had been my favorite to represent region 3 at the state game but once Grandview took them out I quickly became a believer. With this game being a rematch from the preseason showdown makes this one that much more interesting.
  14. Congrats Malakoff, you guys earned it. Can’t wait to watch y’all play at Jerry World. Would be crazy to witness a Malakoff-Grandview rematch for all the marbles. Let’s see if the Zebras can hold up their end of the bargain.
