  1. Funny how the journalistic standard is different, depending on your perspective. I saw Mary Mapes (CBS 60 Minutes producer of story that led to Rathergate . . . ) tell Shawn Hannity that she didn't have to prove the National Guard document was authentic, it was up to her critics to prove it was a fake!!! By the same token, I could take the same position and tell you to prove my "random numbers" are false . . . But I won't. The information is from Richard Miniter's NY Times Best Seller, Disinformation. Read it if you are interested in refuting the facts.
  2. Those of us who have never fought for our country should have a deep, deep appreciation for those who did. Thank you so much for risking your lives for your country. Know that most Americans are grateful beyond words for your service. Thank you veterans of WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, and Afghanistan - Iraq!!!
  3. WMD found in Iraq according to New York Times best-selling author Richard Miniter: • Found: 1.77 metric tons of enriched uranium • Found: 1,500 gallons of chemical weapons • Found: Roadside bomb loaded with sarin gas • Found: 1,000 radioactive materials--ideal for radioactive dirty bombs • Found: 17 chemical warheads--some containing cyclosarin, a nerve agent five times more powerful than sarin
  4. now that's just plain silly.
  5. You left out liberals . . . oh never mind, you covered it with crooked politicians! :w00t: Did they ever find those WMD's that Bush went to war over? Yes - here a partial list of what was found: • Found: 1.77 metric tons of enriched uranium • Found: 1,500 gallons of chemical weapons • Found: Roadside bomb loaded with sarin gas • Found: 1,000 radioactive materials--ideal for radioactive dirty bombs • Found: 17 chemical warheads--some containing cyclosarin, a nerve agent five times more powerful than sarin
  6. I have asked this question many times and the response I get is that the devil created gays. I just shake my head when I hear that. you must have only asked Flip Wilson
  7. Aint it great to be an illititarate, uneducated, country, SOUTHERN, and TEXAN like us! Yew dang betcha,. I guess we just dont understand, the NEW ways of the world:unsure: Thank GOD! you left out "sarcastic" Top Ten list of who you can't legally marry: You can't marry a man (if you're a man). You can't marry a woman (if you're a woman). You can't marry your sister. You can't marry your mother. You can't marry your car (or any other personal property). You can't marry a child (with some exceptions). You can't marry your dog (sorry, PETA). You can't marry someone who's already married. You can't marry someone if you're already married (sorry, Mormons). You can't marry yourself (sorry Al Franken). which currently illegal relationships do you think should be allowed?
  8. same reason he "let" there be unfaithful husbands, hypocrites, blasphemers, tax cheaters, pornographers, porn-lookers, lazy sloths, prostitutes, deadbeat dads, drug abusers, and crooked politicians, to name a few. don't blame God for our rebellious nature. He has provided a way of salvation for all who repent and believe. I know it's not what we want to hear -- we'd rather that He say it's ok to do anything we want to do and there will be no consequences. We tell our little toddlers that some things are ok to do, and some things are not. How loving would it be for us to tell our toddlers that they can touch anything, eat anything, and walk or crawl anywhere they wanted?
  9. And Bush won't be re-elected either, but not because he's in trouble. Bush certainly isn't acting like he's in trouble. Despite some bad press recently, he's still pushing hard on the war on terrorism. He's still nominating conservative Supreme Court justices. He's not backing down on any of his conservative ideals. Unlike Clinton in his 2nd term, Bush isn't concerned about "legacy" so much as finishing the job he was elected to do by a majority of Americans. He may not be completely successful due to a weak Republican majority in Congress, but he's not acting like he's on the ropes, anyway.
  10. my definition of a liberal: a person so open-minded, their brains have fallen out. - source: an ulgy trucker's hat
  11. When liberals are losing as badly as they are, it's funny how excited they get with these minor victories such as in Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, and California. (BTW, how is re-electing Democratic governors a victory -- it's not like the states flipped from Republican to Dem). Here in Texas, the liberal party holds ZERO state-wide offices (Governor, Lt. Gov., Ag. Comm'nr, etc. etc. Tex. Supreme Court, Court of Criminal Appeals, Tex. Board of Education, U.S. Senate), are the minority party in both houses of the Texas Legislature, are the minority party in the U.S. House of Rep. delegation, and their only glimmer of hope is that more American servicemen get killed so that their party will do better in 2006. It's a shame when it takes bad news for Americans to make liberals celebrate.
  12. That doesnt make a lick of sense. So someone 15 years younger than you considers you old? Someone that makes less money than you considers you rich? Someone less religious than you considers you a fanatic? The grass is always greener on the other side syndrome!! I suppose I have to explain to some people. . . The_Oil_Derrick said he had a low tolerance for religious fanaticism, which, like age and wealth is relative. I don't consider myself old or rich, but many people who are much younger and less fortunate consider me old and rich. By the same token, I don't consider myself a religious fanatic, but if you are less religious than I am, you are more likely to consider me a religious fanatic than someone more religious than me. Sorry if I wasn't clear. By the way, that's an interesting quote: "Which is it, is man one of God's blunders or is God one of man's?" An open-minded seeker of truth might want to examine this fully. The God of the Bible certainly doesn't consider man a blunder, but evidence of his glory and a successful fulfillment of his plan of redemption. Granted, man has certainly created ideas about God that have no basis in the Bible. In that sense, man has created a God in man's own image, which I would agree is a blunder. For instance, the idea that "God helps those who help themselves" which is not contained in the Bible, but is a human ideal apparently meant to get people off their rears and take care of their own problems -- pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Have a great day!
  13. You're preaching to the choir on this one. The very organizations who supported the ban on gay marriage are the very ones who are opposed to easy divorce in Texas. As a matter of fact, their next project is to enact tougher divorce laws. Conversely, those opposed to Prop. 2 are usually the ones who want to keep no-fault divorce. Go figure.
  14. an old person is anyone 15 years older than me a rich person is anyone who makes more money than I do a religious fanatic is anyone more religious than me
