I have watched both teams play Winnsboro and this will be a great game. Defenses are about equal and neither will have much luck stopping the other team. Quarterbacks are both excellent. I believe Dangerfield will have an advantage in their backs and receivers and that is not meant to disrespect Melissa's backs and receivers they are very good. Tigers will have a few more defense stops. I will predict: Dangerfield 49 Melissa 28

Very early and reserve the right to change predictions later 1. Melissa 5-0 2. Mineola 4-1 3. Winnsboro 3-2 4. Quitman 2-3 5. Caddo Mills 1-4 6. Grand Saline 0-5 Melissa clearly #1, Mineola clearly #2 Winnsboro and Quitman and Caddo Mills a toss up, Grand Saline not far behind. Should be interesting district

The Red Raiders will be improved with all of last years young team being a year older. I would predict a 5-5 record and on the bubble for the last playoff spot, but probably one more year away from a return to the playoffs

I am excited for Mineola, that district title will probably soon be yours and you have waited a long time to be able to enjoy a district championship. But lets not get carried away. The jackets are the best team of a very weak district. I do not envision any team in this district being able to stay within 50 points of Daingerfield. Mineola is the best team in the district but still lost to Quinlan Ford and gave up 60+ to Grace Community and only beat a 2 win Winnsboro team by a few points. Don't take this post the wrong way. The jackets and their fans should be proud and excited about what they are on the verge of accomplishing this year. Build on this year and down the road you may be able to compete with the Daingerfields, Tatums and New Boston. but not yet. That said, I would love to see you go out and beat them in the playoffs because anything can happen. (Just ask the Texas Rangers)

Nice game by the Red Raiders. This district is wide open with 5 of the 6 team still having legit playoff hope

Raiders led 14-0 at the half, but the Foxes come back and pull out the win 15-14.

Winnsboro will compete for the third playoff spot and have real chance to make playoffs in a down year, but Mineola will take one of the two top spots. Have to go with Mineola but hope I am wrong and the Raiders pull of the upset. Mineola 28 Winnsboro 14

Tigers had too much speed for the Raiders. I thought it was a well played game by both teams. Winnsboro continues to improve each week and may surprise some teams when district rolls around. Good luck to Tigers (what a brutal schedule) the rest of the way.
