  1. @WP4L Brother, am I missing something!!!??? When did John King ā€œJUSTā€ put Denton Ryan on the schedule??? Heā€™s talking about like going on 3 years ago maybe. Maybe he has some intel that everybody else doesnā€™t regarding Lobo football; especially being from Henderson. But, what do I know. Like, I was only born and raised a Lobo for 44 years now, played here and graduated from Longview High. So, I guess I should listen to him when it comes to this Lobo Football program. Let me formally apologize.
  2. Our schedule isnā€™t hard to find, Brother. Hell, MaxPreps even has a complete list of this yearā€™s schedule.
  3. Classy Guy, you are Brother. But, John King (for whatever reason) is NOT trying to schedule you guys for a preseason. It would unequivocally make us better as a team, though. Iā€™m definitely all for it. As the younger generation would say, ā€œHe AINā€™T trying to catch that fade!ā€ In his latter years, heā€™s ducking and dodging ALL smoke that he can. Heā€™d put the Marshall Mavericks on the schedule 2-3 times straight rather than to put yā€™all on ONCE!
  4. So, the 55+ year old ADULT who was hired to COACH these TEENAGERS has no culpability in his UNDISCIPLINED azz team year after year after year after year!!!!????? Iā€™m trying to figure out who enforces discipline??? The Head Coach or the Teenage kids??? I can promise you, Scott Surratt ainā€™t working towards his 10th State Championship in 15 or so years by having an undisciplined group of kids that REFUSE to listen and do what they want to do. But, keep being an apologist. Thatā€™s the reason his azz REFUSES to change right there. We got waaaay too many apologists and not enough enforcers that will say, ā€œWe Love You, John King but got-damnit, ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!! Hell, why would he change!!!??? I wouldnā€™t either if yā€™all were smelling the center of my rectum like yā€™all do for him. Iā€™m going to do the absolute BARE MINIMUM as a coach but, I want the results of those coaches who go the extra mile but, I ainā€™t willing to do what it takes to invoke that type of change.
  5. @JohnnyFootball @EastTexasKnowItAll I want both of yā€™all to tell me whatā€™s so got-damn hilarious about the TRUTH!!!??? Or, is @HearEmaGrowlin just blatantly lying on our program. If, thereā€™s ANY fanbase that I would listen to in regards to struggle vs success, the Carthage Bulldogs fanbase is without a doubt one of them. It baffles me that yā€™all will laugh and make a mockery out of people who have witnessed mediocrity in their respective program and have one of IF not the most successful football program in the entire State of Texas. The act of DISMISSIVENESS towards the most successful football program in the last 10-15 years says all you need to know why we keep going through the same old bullsh** every got-damn year. Youā€™ll have an excuse for John King for the next 20 years and when he FINALLY gets one, youā€™ll be on here talking about, ā€œI told you so!ā€
  6. Yeah, do NOT speculate or I will be forced to THRASH you! You donā€™t want to see me flex my muscle on here! When I show all of yā€™all on here my biceps you will be intimidated. So, itā€™s in everyoneā€™s BEST interest to be scared of me and recognize who I am. As a matter of fact, Iā€™m sick and tired of everyone getting off topic myself. From now on everyone on this board BETTER start bowing down to me and get my approval before any posting can be done.
  7. What is the psychology of abuse of power? Power abusers can be authoritarian and insecure They may have a rigid, hierarchical worldview and a desire for control and dominance over others. They may not like people disagreeing with them or criticising them and may use intimidation or coercion to hold onto power.
  8. @Mr. P Hey, you guys did an awesome job this past week and the fans really appreciate you all and your commitment to all things Lobo Football and Longview I.S.D. Real Talk. Nowā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.., with that being said, you shouldā€™ve known that this was prefaced with a caveat coming from me so, donā€™t start! Whomever was operating the camera exhibited some ā€œNFHSā€ moments this past Friday by not keeping the camera on the players a few times and you ALREADY know I was getting the ultimate, mental ā€œbooster-cableā€ charge as I franticly watched the cameraman/woman focus on the granules beneath the turf as the play was ensuing. I have to give them a pass because of who it was being our student body and the unfortunate circumstances yā€™all had to operate in. I was STILL saying to myself, ā€œNFHS done struck againā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.ā€ SMDH. Iā€™d be straight up lying if I was to tell you that I wasnā€™t going from 0 to 100 as it was happening, though.
  9. I never even remotely said it was you, Stepp. I clearly emphasized that (I BELIEVE) as senile as it may seem that the powers that be in Mesquite I.S.D. basically abused the little power/authority that they had as a leverage tool to get back at Longview High for us continuously beating the brakes off of them year in and year out. Itā€™s a jealously/envious type of move and they didnā€™t care who or how it affected said entities. When we rolled our azzes up to Mesquite Memorial Stadium with Lobos on our chest, the fix was already in to take out their frustrations on our personnel and them affecting our students and making them sit in the rain was a pure ā€œfemale dogā€ move and I can tell you that they were content with what they done and it was most definitely personal. No one can convince me otherwise.
  10. Well your boi @MattStepp said differentlyā€¦ā€¦ I appreciate his work over the years but, Iā€™m with you 100% on this. To ME, it seemed personal and Iā€™ve stated my reason already behind that and I donā€™t believe itā€™s too far fetched to believe otherwise.
  11. If, we hadā€™ve lost, it wouldā€™ve been on the front page of Dallas Morning News sports page. FULL PAGE. I can guarantee you that.
  12. Golden. Thanks, Bro. NFHS, still needs their azz beat, thoughā€¦ā€¦..
  13. Well, curious minds like MYSELF really want to know EXACTLY how DOES it work, Matt. And, I ainā€™t being a smart azz by any stretch. I want to know (IN DETAIL) how does it work because what most of us witnessed last year with NFHS in that online streaming debacle was just about egregious as it gets. If, thatā€™s the standard for ā€œgetting the bagā€ real quick and bouncing, then sign me up. I got an Android in the dresser drawer somewhere (preferably a flip phone) that I can use to ruin some fanbaseā€™s weekend.
  14. Well, you can book me a flight from my job and my obligations here in Tioga, North Dakota annnnnd BACK then I can get off my lazy azz too. Or does that go for those who are working with families, too??? I mean, you tell me!!! I can tell you got it all figured out, though. Pretty Sharpā€¦ā€¦ā€¦
  15. To: NFHS DO NOT fix your mouths to ask to stream another Longview Lobo Football game REGARDLESS of who the opponent is!!! There are plenty of 6-Man games in West Texas that need your assistance - MAYBE. And, I know yā€™all got your funky butts in here scouring the message boards. Make sure all your 3rd party licensees and affiliates get this memo tattooed on their person somewhere. If, we are the LAST game on Earth, that means yā€™all azz donā€™t have a game to stream, televise, etc. Try Jesus, DONā€™T try US! Donā€™t ā€œFā€ around and find out is all Iā€™m saying.
  16. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Well, we MAY know the same person if he works in L.I.S.D. IF, it is the person I BELIEVE it to be, heā€™s gotten himself in a bit of a quandary nowadays and it ainā€™t pretty by no stretch of the imagination. Heā€™s the ONLY one in my life to know that jumps from the oilfield back to teaching.
  18. I hope we donā€™t overrun plays and lose containment on the Quarterback. Quit CONTINUOUSLY allowing teams to convert on 3rd and Long situations. Oh yeah, shut the hell up between plays and for the Love of God, HOLD ON TO THE BALL and CUT OUT THE MENTAL MISTAKES. I can live with the results if we lose and just get flat out beat. But, if we beat ourselvesā€¦ā€¦. Nah, Iā€™m going to be flat out Livid. Most on here believe Iā€™m livid just waking up and existing, though.
  19. Wow. Back in 2010 my ex-wife and I almost moved in that neighborhood down the road from Little Elm in that community called, Crossroads when I was in the Oilfield real heavy! You have to cross the Lake Dallas Toll Road to get to it unless you want to drive several miles all the way around to Hwy. 380 and come on up the backside. I wouldnā€™t advise ANYONE to get in the oilfield market regardless of what they are paying. Too unstable of an industry to support your family long-term. But, thatā€™s another storyā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦..
  20. If, we get another cell phone casted game via an android thereā€™s going to be some problems and I am one of those problems.
  21. Damn, the last time I checked itā€™s 2023. With the new age social media and how things have exponentially evolved as far as communication goes, I am extremely perplexed that hardly ANY schoolsā€™ fanbases outside of a handful engage in any type of online dialogue on these forums. That goes for this one and the 6A boards as well. It truly makes the week drag by S-L-O-W. With New Caney Porter being in the Houston Metro Area, I am quite certain that Xfinity Broadband also services their area like it does mine down in Humble, Texas. I could be wrong, though. Theyā€™re not too far removed from being in the ā€œsticksā€ along with Splendora several years ago. That is Montgomery County and not Harris County, too. Jesus, it feels like the off-season is already here. Just a dreadful feeling already. Come on Lobos!!! I need yā€™all to win (6) games straight and Iā€™ll be happy until August 2024.
  22. I can definitely see your point, Brother. But, when this fiasco becomes the common denominator every, single year, I am of the mindset that THIS is exactly who you are as a program. A ā€œone-offā€ every so often is definitely understandable as ALL teams are going to have them, even the Elite programs. These penalties have come to define who we are and WHAT undermines (in MOST cases) what weā€™re trying to get accomplished. Fumbling the ball on the goal line has been an issue. Straight MENTAL.
  23. You know what? Over the past several years, your stance in regards to defending King has changed exponentially. You donā€™t seem as gung-ho in your position as you were in your early years. Not saying that your position and mineā€™s always align but, theyā€™re pretty damn close now as opposed to years past. Lol! You have really mellowed out a LOT and your enthusiasm is still there as most Lobo fans but, I can clearly see that you call a spade a spade now and youā€™re REALISTIC about our team and our chances based on your experiences watching Lobo football. It rubs the Lobo fanatics and casuals the wrong way who only see that we won the game as opposed to seeing the little things that John King REFUSES to address but and more times than not rears itā€™s ugly head and gets exposed by programs such as Aledo, Lake Travis, Highland Park, etc. that emphasize DISCIPLINE & FUNDAMENTALS. As Shannon Sharpe mentioned earlier this year in his commentary (Iā€™m paraphrasing and adding a bit of my own) ā€œYou either COACH your team about being undisciplined or you CONDONE it!ā€ In my personal opinion, John King condones it by virtue of not invoking stiff enough recourse for said behavior. The team takes on the personality of the coach. If, you are lethargic and uninspired in your playcalling then donā€™t ask questions when your team half-azz breaks the huddle, walk instead of running between plays, consistently engaging in futile rhetoric between plays and costing your team unnecessary penalties of potentially game-winning drives, etc., etc. As hard-nosed as we are and are known around the state of Texas, the ELITES of Texas High School Football see CLEAN through us like night and day. We AINā€™T fooling them ONE bit. They know and understand how to expose us and how to provoke us between the lines of scrimmage because they understand the nature of our boys and their undeniable propensity to get rattled at the most inopportune times aka when it matters the MOST. So, yes. As an avid Lobo Alumn and Supporter of Longview Lobo Football, Iā€™ve seen your transition over the past several years as it relates to your responses and overall demeanor nowadays. You donā€™t get overzealous and carried away into a state of being non-sensical about where our team is and where weā€™re headed as a program.
