Praying for an injury free game where both teams do their best as well as the great officiating and safe travel to all. Pulling for the purple pride. How do you domesticate a tiger ? answer ; you knock the stripes off that blue cat ( Catfish ).

Newton gonna knock them stripes off them tigers. Tigers gonna get domesticated into regular house cats.

Talent all over the field on both teams but this game could be won or lost with the no-names playing their hearts out without any recognition. I will be pulling for Newton but this game could be won in the trenches. Whoever wins, I will be pulling for them to win state!

I have much RESPECT for both schools but I think this is Franklin's year.

I think this game will be within a touchdown and depth could be the issue. I might be crazy but Roosevelt might be the victor this week. Close game

West Orange Stark 17 to 14. I always pull for our neighbors unless we are playing them.

If Waskom wins, this Eagle will back you through 2021 but I am hoping my Eagles will soar and Waskom will have an off night. Either way,praying for a injury free game and this Eagle Respects the Waskom's football team.

Both teams do the talking on the field. Actions speak a lot louder than smack talk without having to eat some crow. This game should be a slobber knocker with one bruised up winner and a bruised up loser. JMO

Newton is pretty good but they don't have 4 D1 players like3 or 4 years ago.. They are good enough to win with their stud running-back ( I think 25+ offers including Texas & USC) and a descent passing game. Newton as usual has a stout defense but any given nite Newton could pull a Childress. Truth hurts .JS

This game could be close, DeKalb has a impressive offensive line with a strong running back. If my Eagles take them lightly it will cost them. I do think my Eagles will win but in a close game and they need to get the extra point business worked out.

I have thought all year that Canadian was the best of the rest. I do hope Franklin can make a game of it but one dimensional teams are a defensive coordinator dream. If Franklin doesn't throw on first down some, it will be a long nite for the Lions. Two quality teams but one is senior loaded and the other rather young. Canadian should win by at least 21 points

I agree mostly, one bad call by officials in Daingerfield cost us that game but that part of life, I mean referees are human also but Newton was pretty salty last year also and very young this year. Gunter and Canadian are quality proven programs with good sportsmanship and since I like both schools, I don't have a favorite-they are both well coached and extremely good.

Do you really think they would have beaten Newton in 2017 or 2018. Newton was loaded and beat Gilmer in 2018-4a div 2, West Orange -Stark 4 a div 2 in 2018, beat Silsbee 4a div 2 in 2017 and 2018 and all 3a div 2 teams them two years.

I meant to say they seem to win every other year. Just ole mind not finishing his thought process.

I have to go with Canadian simply because these two seem to beat each other year. They are well coached and offensive line's technique are really good. Both defensive lines are solid. It will be a war in the trenches with hard hitting everywhere, yet good sportsmanship on both teams. Pleasure to watch.

That offensive line just wore Newton down and Newton had a pretty descent team. When you get beat in the trenches the last quarter gets tough.

The only feelings them steers gonna hurt is there home town pride will be called Charmin or Scott pride.

With one terrible call over-rule on the illegally grounding, oops no it wasn't. It happens but that went down about as bad as the illegal jumping on Canadian 's field goal in 2018 state championship game.. I don't know why some officials can't stand us.

I don't know much about Hughes Springs but I look for a huge let down from Elesian Fields this week. I will take Hughes Springs in a big upset.

If Newton plays another game like they did against Hemphill in the play-offs, Newton will be shooting basketballs. They definitely did not look like a contender last night.JMO

I believe Newton has way to many sophomores to go past round 3. Unlike a couple years ago, we have a depth problem and those 2 hurricanes put is about 3 weeks behind. Just an old timers view but I starting to feel like the Lone Ranger without Tonto wearing these I can't breath mask.

It might be just my thoughts but I don't think their is a clear cut favorite to win it all. I wonder if 3a div 2 might be a little down this year. I know you have to be good to win state but the last few years the state champ was clearly dominant.What do you think ?

I knew they were good two years ago, I just think they will be rusty like Newton is. We are probably 3 weeks behind our normal progression due to the hurricanes. I hope its a good game and you come out injury free. I still think you should win.

They will have more players for sure but they haven't practiced that much because of Hurricane Lauren and the last one . First Hurricane did a descent amount of damage and this last hurricane probably added insult to insult to all .Just saying the Wampus Cats want be that good.
