Heck of a game. Two great teams came to play tonight. Great example of why you play the game and just don’t hand over the trophy.

Don’t overlook Canadian, they beat a pretty darn good Gunter team. Holding Gunter to 7 just doesn’t happen every day. I predict Newton will win, however it will be a close game.

Proud to say I’m from Gunter after reading this thread.

Good thing they didn’t play tonight with this 40mph wind and rain. Nobody would be able to toss the ball. Hoping for good weather so we can see who truly is the best.

I don’t recall seeing Newton in Jerry World a couple of years ago when Gunter beat Boling! Were they playing 2a ball then?

Congratulations to Newton! The difference to me was Newton's DEPTH, DEPTH, DEPTH. Great game for 3 quarters and then Gunter just ran out of gas, too many players playing both ways. Newton has great speed, depth and that #10 wide receiver just killed Gunter. Solid team with no weaknesses, this is hard for me to say, the better team won last night. Congrats again - well deserved win.
