I’ll have to say this is surprising. Marshall is a great place with a lot of great kids. The community supports their hometown sports and admin and the school board puts kids first.

Actually MJHS will be grades 6-8.

It's like a junior high gossip fest in town right now. Some sources are totally off and some are close to maybe having some decent info. From what I understand the 2nd round of interviews are done and we should have official word this week.

Spring Break being last week also caused a delay. With 2nd interviews this week one would think we would know something in the next 7-10 days. And, there's not too much secrecy...MavGrad99 is spot on. Let the process play out.....

I agree with everything mavfanpanamacity has to say about Feaster. I watched him in an interview on TV a few weeks ago and his attitude will rub EVERYONE the wrong way. Also, football coaches in LA aren't athletic directors. I think everyone would agree we need someone who wants all sports to be successful, not just football. Feaster is a football only guy.

Feaster just isn't what the Mavericks need.

5 varsity players from the Lady Mavs softball team were on the choir trip & missed the game against Texas High. They are home now and hopefully, with them, the Lady Mavs will win against SS tomorrow.

Mavchamp, Smoaky said they will do the second round of interviews next week. That doesn't really mesh with your timeline. Could they have made the decision that quickly?

While I understand your point, as a parent of daughters in MISD, I'll just have to disagree on statements about skill camps, off season leagues, etc. Mine are involved in all of those and so are others. The most important issue for me is the hire of an AD that supports all sports.

No, it's time to find an AD that will step up and show some interest in girls sports. To just say that the girls need to step up (try harder) is ridiculous. Totally agree about Peaster. I watched a news story about him the week he was let go from Parkway and he's not the guy....

While I know they are looking for a football coach, they are also looking for an AD. IMO it needs to be someone that will put a focus on all sports (boys & girls). MISD is better when ALL it's sports are competitive.
