  1. Just because someone claims to be a believer does not mean that their life shows evidence of that. So many people claim to be, but set by silently when the name of their Lord is continually misrepresenty. I'm honestly not concerned about representation of the church or Christianity itself, I'm concerned about the bashing of my Savior. The name Christian has become far to broad of a name for me. Maybe that is the problem that so many on here have. I am a follower of Jesus, my knowledge of what I have been saved from and what I am saved for will not allow me to act like it's okay to disrespect my God. However, this is not my battle to fight. Praise the Lord! I'm finished with this thread. Blessings!
  2. Yea I'm sure they put a tremendous amount of pressure on themselves when Roger was shuting people down (not out unfortunately) and they weren't doing squat. What have the 'Stros done this off-season to make Roger feel better about the offense, other than Preston Wilson?
  3. Stranger things have happened.:texrangers: Let me ask the Astro fans a Clemens question. Do you think the fact that he had all the stipulations in his contract about what he did and did not have to do maybe alienated him from his teammates? I know all of these guys are professionals and everything and something like that shouldn't matter, but I'm just curious as to weather or not the Astro's nations felt that way. Maybe guys didn't work as hard to produce at the plate on days that he was pitching because they are thinking, "why should I produce for him when he doesn't even want to be one of us?" I realize that is a little far fetched, but maybe subconsciously (if ball players are capable of such thinking). Just curious what you think, a topic for discussion.
  4. My wife partially tore her ACL playing soccer in high school and it is still that way to this day (It's been about 10 years probably). The doctors told her there was nothing really beneficial they could do until it tore completely. I guess play hard and have fun. If it does tear completely at least then you know what to do next.
  5. Insecurity has nothing to do with this. What you are seeing are believers who are sick and tired of being punched in the gut time and time again in the name of "free speech" and yet we are the only group in America that does not have that same right. ...But, just as the above article shows, our voice has been heard. Corp. sponsors pulled out and NBC was taking it in the pocket book. Just as I said before, this nonsence will not go on if it is not making any money. Plain and simple. Now, I guess we will just sit back and wait for people to start shouting "Censorship".
  6. I don't want to see Bonds break the all time homerun record, it just doesn't seem right. As far as this thing goes, we don't need him. There is plenty of talent out there that we don't have to use Mr. Ego.
  7. I thought they (Dr's) wouldn't do anything on a partial tear, I thought they had to wait until it tore completely before surgery was an option? That's just what I've been told. I could be way off.
  8. I guess there is no cap on the high end of 5A, but does anyone know who is the largest 5A in the state?
  9. The Cub's need an insurance arm with the way those guys go down, but why sign someone who is also known for being oft injured?
  10. I apologize, I'm just trying to get the Boston faithful riled up a little bit. I think it is a great move bringing him back, I don't know why he left in the first place. He was very instrumental in bringing that WS back to Bean Town.
  11. Tampa will be contending in a couple of years if the Yankee's don't dismantle them before they all blossom. That's what the Yankees do, they take what everyone else has. Right Mantle?!?!
  12. Mr. Clemens - If you will come and play for the Texas Rangers this year you will only have to pitch when you want to, your locker will be in Mr. Hicks office so you don't have to talk to any of the other players if you don't want to, we will guarantee you 8.5 runs a game on days you pitch, we will make a deal with the Astro's and bring your son to Arlington and guarantee him a starting spot, if you win 20 games we will put up a statue in your likeness right next to Mr. Ryan's, if you lead us to a World Series Championship we will re-name the stadium after you! Give it some thought, pray about it,talk to your family and let us know what you think. If any of the above is not to your liking we are willing to fire the guy that put this deal together and let you write the next one. God Bless You! Texas Rangers Front Office
