I think everyone is misinterpreting what JJ is saying.... I gather that he is disappointed that the season has turned out this way....
He knew going into this season that if they had to turn to Romo it meant either Bledsoe was hurt, or the season wasn't going as well as they had hoped....
I don't think that he has a problem with Romo starting, I think it's more of him being upset that the season has been the way it has and that they are having to change QB's....
How many teams bench their starting QB and turn it over to a rookie (he's virtually a rookie on the field) and win the Super Bowl? Not many.... And that's why JJ is disappointed....

It's a projection based on Week 8.... It's going to change every week, just give it time, it will all come together....

Good sports writers/broadcasters must have tough skin, because everyone gets criticized for everything they do!

You can always do your own projections.... Don't knock people who are doing that because they want to....
And I don't see why anyone would say Van can't go 3 or 4 rounds deep.... I've seen them in person, and I think they are a very good football team that is capable of making a deep run.... But just like any other team (as the before mentioned Longview proved in 2005) they could flame out in the 1st round!

This is an open and shut case..... LUFKIN PANTHERS....
The town shuts down during games! And this is not a town the size of Quitman or Carlisle, or any other small schools.... One of the biggest towns in East Texas is empty during Panther games!
It's part of life in Angelina County!

I know one of those guys over there, and he probably would have picked Longview to win it all!!!
But that site hasn't been up for a football season yet, this is their first one!
I talked to the guy I know over there, they said they will update them every week based on how things go on Friday nights!

Is it only because New Boston isn't winning a state championship? lol!!!
I think for the most part that is pretty accurate.... It's only a projection, I think they are going to change those based on the outcome of each week from here on out....

Tony is horrible on TV and I wish LT would have broke both of ol' #7's legs....
Keep Mike Tirico and bring in Dan McGuire.... Those two know their football....

Everyone keeps talking about rules being broken, but if Beckville didn't break any rules, then how can you punish them?
Breaking a rule means that you do something you know is wrong or illegal.... If they were told it was legal, then they didn't break any rules.... The problem here is that there was not a district meeting apparently to decide the eligibility of the two players involved, the chairman did it on his own.... He should be punished for making the wrong decision....
I blame the parents of these children if they have falsified reports to prove their eligibility, Beckville ISD supposedly did their follow ups to verify residency and apparently found nothing wrong with what was going on....
I think it's wrong to point fingers at these kids and coaches until we know the truth.... Which by the way, we may never know, because there will be lots of people covering their tails before its all said and done I'm afraid....
I don't know the truth, but I know the head coach at Beckville, and if he says to me that he didn't break the rules, then I believe him, as would anyone that knows him....

I have tried to stay off this subject for as long as I really could, I have read all of the posts and all I really want to address are a few parts of the situation, not really the entire thing....
#1- For anyone who says that the Beckville Head Coach knew that he was cheating, you obviously don't know the man that you are talking about. He would not do that, and anyone who has coached with, played for, or just known the man, know how much of a man of character he is....
#2- I truly feel the UIL will overturn this decision.... Beckville apparently tried to do the right thing, they sat the kids in question out until they were told they were eligible and then they played them.... They could have just trotted them out there without waiting on an answer, but instead they wanted to go by the book.... I feel that once they were given the okay, that you really can't go back and make it retroactive if they are indeed ineligible.... There should have been an investigation if there was still question about the kids, but instead they were told it was alright to play them.... If nothing else, say they are ineligible from this point forward and move on....
#3- First off, if someone had doubts about this situation, it should have been brought up well before it was.... Secondly, I've read that there was no District Executive Committee meeting, that the Chairman of the committee gave the go ahead.... If that's the case, then the Chairman should be punished, not Beckville, for not investigating and having a meeting concerning this situation.... One man should not be able to decide something as big as this.... One man's decision (if that is true, that he made the decision, not the committee) will hurt lots of kids in Beckville who have busted their butt all season long to become the team they are today....
Lastly, I give my support to Coach Hubbard and the Bearcats, they are a great team coached by a great coach....

Two things I want to bring up:
1- Parcells is just as much to blame as Bledsoe is. You've never seen Parcells give Bledsoe "the stare" that is so dreaded, and you've never heard him criticize Bledsoe for things that he does wrong (Which have been more frequent this season so far).... Parcells has been horrible at play-calling in big situations (Need I bring up the 4th and 1 pass play with only 1 eligible man going out for a pass Sunday?)....
2- Parcells is crippling this teams future.... What are we going to do in 2 years when Bledsoe and Parcells are both gone? We'll have not a single QB with meaningful game experience because Parcells won't play him.... Parcells should either get on board with what's best for THIS TEAM and not for himself.... Bledsoe is not a Super Bowl winning QB, so I don't see the harm in letting this team go with Romo.... Trent Dilfer managed the games well enough for Baltimore to win a Super Bowl, and even then they beat a team with another average QB in Kerry Collins.... Had anyone heard of Kurt Warner before they went to the Super Bowl? Brad Johnson won one.... Hmm, seems to me that you can get there with a relatively new QB, and NONE of those other guys but Warner had the supporting cast that Romo would have.... JJ, Barber, T.O., Glenn, Witten, Crayton, Fasano....
IN OTHER WORDS, JUST GIVE TONY THE DAMN BALL!!!

Hmm... this summer I was in Austin and managed to eat at both places while I was there.... Chipotle I think has the best burrito....

Beckville at #6 and Joaquin at #2? Did those two teams not play each other three weeks ago with Beckville winning that game?
