  1. They played twice last year LV one both time LH only scored 18 in each game. You have to get them behind the chains and play assignment football. They are a lot like Paris in that they hope that you make a mistake and if you do the Liberty Hill band will be playing.
  2. I don't think you can stop it only hope to contain it and out score them. Liberty hill is going to get theirs. It's going to be a great game cant wait to watch it on the way back from the La Vega game.
  3. Both are very similar in style Both have D1 QB Hutto's Griffin is committed to UCLA, while Marshall's Green has 3 offers. Hutto: Griffin 4051 yards 51 TD to 5 INT Rushing total 2114 PPG 50.1 Marshall: Green 2499 yards 36 TD to 12 INT Rushing Total 2770 PPG 33.7 Hutto also played one less game.
  4. Hutto is 5A D1 and they went 3 rounds deep in the playoffs. Marshall Is 5A D2 and also went 3 rounds deep.
  5. https://omny.fm/shows/you-make-the-call/jared-rogers-12-11-18 These are the kind of kids that play for La Vega. Straight from smoaky's show.
  6. I'm 100% sure if he had any charges filed against him the La Vega superintendent would of made sure he never saw the field. Had he been indicted that would of been in the paper. Lets move on.
  7. Post a link to the "arrest" you posted about from the media. I would like to read that.
  8. All I can tell you this a football forum. If you have questions about a minor maybe you should take that up with his parents. I am sure they will be more then happy to discuss that with a devastated Argyle fan. Whatever he did or didnt do he missed 4 games. These are kids we are talking about. I guess you never did anything wrong when you were a teenager, must of been born and raised in Argyle.
  9. What a devastating blow. Prayers for the family and teammate's.
  10. Looks like La Vega and Carthage will be on a collision course over the next few years. Bad news for the rest of the state.
  11. I agree it never let up that night. The one thing I did notice is that LV was always working a dry ball into the game about every 3 plays and before every kick, it didn't seem that Argyle rotated the ball as often.
  12. Decatur has been on one heck of a run, but like the post I saw on another forum said "this is big boy football" and I don't think Decatur is quite ready for this level of play. Can Decatur O-line give the QB enough time to unload the ball, I saw the are a heavy RPO team. I see the QB getting hit early and choosing the run over the pass option. I know I wouldn't want to continue to get pounded if I had another option. Which play straight into the strength of the LV defense. The passing game of Decatur isn't as potent as others we have faced this season therefore LV should be able to keep them in check. I don't see LV over looking this team any team that has made it this far has to be pretty good.
  13. I agree 100%, I've been saying since week 4 that their are 4 titans at the top of 4a this year. LV, Argyle, Carthage and LH. it would take one of those teams to knock off the other and what do you know that exactly the way it has turned out. Only one team can win it all.
  14. Fair assessment of the game. LV works from the shotgun too and didn't have that the snap fumble problems Argyle had. Both teams had to deal with the weather and it did absolutely favor the Pirates run game. The game was agreed upon on last Friday by both coaches. Why would LV agree to play at a stadium 30 minute from argyle and 2 hours from LV eccentrically giving Argyle a home game. No coach in there right mind would do that. Midolthan was chosen for location not weather. Great football teams find a way.
  15. I wish @regaleagle hadn't flown the coop, I would really like to hear his take on last Fridays game and the up coming games. He always seems to have good insights into the games.
  16. Last year LV had them down like that and they continue to pound the ball, maybe throw a few more pass trying to catch you sleeping. LH hopes to wear you down and come back on you (like they did against Sealy and La Vernia). They are unrelenting and very good at what they do.
  17. Laugh all you want Liberty Hill will hit you in the mouth. They may not beat Carthage, but I can promise you they will not quit and they will come at you with all they have on every play.
  18. I think you are right, but remember this team scored 51 on 5a Hutto, and averaged 60+ point per game during the season.
