You have to remember LV is 57-4 in the past 4 years with 2 state championships. LV will return 8 starters on offense. Most of which were sophomores last year. Sophomores Included 2 RB, QB, 3 offensive lineman. And if you think a Don Hyde run defense isn't going to run like a well oil machine then you haven't been paying attention to 4a football. They may take a few bruises early on, but raise your hand if LV is the team you would want to see in the playoffs. Not many hands would be my guess. I know most of you guys are in east Texas LV will be at LE in week 6. Good game to go see a common opponent of the top 3 teams. We will see week 2 how good both teams are. Argyle lost all 5 offensive linemen and some key receivers. And on defense they graduated one of the best line backers in the state. A player that made several key tackles in both games last year. Dont give me the rainy cold excuse both teams played in the same conditions and if I remember right LV made a few key receptions to move the chains and keep drives alive as well drop a few passes too. The game is played outside and good teams adjust to conditions, not complain about them.

Week 2, LV vs Argyle in Bellmead.

LV may have gotten better at the QB spot due to a move in. He played in the state championship game as a corner. Landry Kinne, C.J. Kinne's younger brother.

LaVega sweeps boys relays at 4a state track meet. With a freshman anchoring the 4x100 and 4x200. They scored 70 points to win the meet.

La Vega will return 8 starters on offense 6 of those were sophomores this year. I can't wait to see how much better next years team will be offensively. There will be holes to fill on defense but there is plenty of talent behind this class of seniors.

Liberty Hill dared us to beat them with the pass by stacking 8 and 9 in the box. So we did. STATE CHAMPS BABY.

I hope that Liberty Hill thinks this is going to be like last week. La Vega has 7 starter returning on defense from last years team that beat this team twice. The LV offense is better then last year and the defense is as good as if not better then last years. I watch LH last 3 game they are impressive but I dont believe they have seen a team that can stop the run like La Vega can or a team that can run the ball the way LV does. This will be a game of strength on strength. Like I said last week you need to hit LH in the mouth and LV will hit you in the mouth.

La Vega chose AT&T stadium because coach didn't want the teams first game in the stadium to be the state championship. Sound like good coaching.

T-minus 3 hrs and 30 minutes. Does LV cruise or are the eagles going to soar past them. IMO if LV plays Pirate football this wont be a game. I believe the Eagle have had a great season. And have prepared to the best of their ability. That being said they have no ideas the speed and size that is about to stand before them. LV is a beast of a football team. They are ready, LV is going to bring there best game. It will be evident very quickly if Decatur is able to play with this team. Good luck to both team.
