  1. Y’all relax. It’s a great hire. He won a state championship at Petrolia and won big at WF Rider.
  2. Jug line, you are a complete vagina coming on here and bashing the coach. In fact that’s probably why your boys don’t play. It’s genetic, they are vags like their daddy. Add to the fact that CH is horrible. Your kids are too bad to play on a horrible team. Lol, u r a tool and a bag.
  3. Whatever the situation is in CH, airing all of this out on Smoaky accomplishes nothing.
  4. Not true. Odessa has always only had two schools, Permian and Odessa high. Will be hard to get back to the glory days because of demographics and the growth of the suburbs.
  5. I came across some information this weekend that I thought was very important and after reading the Texas Tribune article about Carthage I thought this forum might be interested in what I have to say. First off, regarding Carthage, what Coach Surratt has done there far surpasses any dollar figure. He is worth every penny. I believe athletics are the most important part of a school district and I could write a book about why but that is not the intention of this post. I will keep this as short and concise as possible. Texas public schools lost $1.5 billion dollars in state funding last spring. While public schools lost funding, Texas charter schools saw a funding increase in the form of $400 million for facility upgrades. It is important to note that charters receive more state funding per student than do public schools. Another FYI is that charter schools graduation rates are far lower than public schools. The intent of this post is not bash Charter schools. The largest Charter school system in Texas is Harmony Public schools. Harmony has 48 campuses in Texas and serve over 30,000 students. Here are links to Harmony's superintendent and their UN-ELECTED board of directors:https://new.harmonytx.org/AboutUs.php https://new.harmonytx.org/AboutUs.php Harmony is connected to the Gulen movement which was started by a Turkish Islamicist named Fathullah Gulen ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fethullah_Gülen ). Gulen is a political dissident living in the US. Gulen is wanted by the Turkish government on terror charges stemming from the military coup there in 2016. The Turkish government commissioned a law firm out of Washington DC to investigate the ties between Gulen, Harmony and the coup in Turkey. According to this report TEXAS PUBLIC SCHOOL FUNDS HELPED FUND A MILITARY COUP IN TURKEY. ### I don' t know all of the facts, I just found out about this over the weekend. I DO KNOW THIS, I HAVE A VERY BIG PROBLEM WITH SCHOOL BUDGETS (ATHLETICS AS WELL) GETTING CUT WHILE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF STATE TAX DOLLARS GO TO SHADOWY MUSLIM GROUPS. State Rep Dan Fylnn from Van is bringing this to light, please watch this video. I've provided links to various articles so that you can research this for yourself. We have several state primary elections this spring and Texas voters need this information before heading to the polls. https://www.texastribune.org/2016/05/24/turkey-follows-through-complaint-against-harmony/ http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/07/education/07charter.html http://www.houstonpress.com/news/five-things-to-know-about-harmony-schools-based-on-documentary-killing-ed-8776376 https://www.dallasnews.com/news/news/2016/05/24/texas-charter-school-network-accused-of-bias-and-self-dealing
